Crystal was taken aback from that. She didn’t really expect that Janice would show her true self in such a small amount of time. Like literally only 5 minutes after her façade. She expected that Janice would make another act of pity or keep the pretense up at its finest, but she released the cat out of the bag so fast. It seems that she didn’t see the point of keeping her façade any longer. Especially, if people aren’t around to witness something they wouldn’t want to witness. But Crystal was unfazed, shady businesses and beneficial partnerships aren’t always clean. It seems that she must’ve promised partnerships with other maidens as well, to escape the predicament of being involved with the mishap earlier.

She sighed and took out her phone, it was connected to a VPN network. No matter how hard they try to plant moles in the villa, none of them has the capability to detect Cristopher’s private network. “Cristopher? Are you there?” she questioned, placing the phone near her left ear to listen. A brief silence was heart before a voice from the other end finally arrived. “Hello? Crystal?” Cristopher’s voice could be heard from the phone’s receiver. A smile was immediately drawn onto Crystal’s face as she heard his expecting tone. It was as if, it’s been long since she last heard her voice, even when it has been only 2 or 3 days passed.
“N-no! it’s a misunderstanding!” Janice yelled as her eyes widened in sheer surprise. She instinctively released Crystal from her tight hold to face the old maid who wore a sneer over her expression. “Misunderstanding? Did you really think that I was born yesterday?! You were about to hit her!” Pristine shouted as soon, other maids got a whiff of the issue and stood alongside or behind Pristine. Crystal got a brief understanding of the situation before pushing Janice away and hurriedly running towards the Maid’s aid with tearful eyes. “Ms. Pristine! She wanted to hurt me!” Crystal spoke in an anxiously fearful manner. Her pitiful, shimmer
“No one believes me…” Janice sneered to herself as she made her way back to her room, where she suspects that Crystal is no longer there. Her sour expression was vividly evident to the point that all those around her would sense the odd atmosphere caused by her menacing aura. As if all life was drained by her evident anger and sorrow. But as she progresses, her anger and willingness to take revenge was purely evident. ‘I can’t let this be. I can’t let Carmilla get things her way. I can’t let her have Antony.’ she thought, gritting her teeth as she clenched her fists tightly. ‘I need to do something, fast.’ she thought once more before walki
“H-her!” the maid pointed a finger of accusation towards Janice’s way. Janice sneered at that. “Lowly maid! How dare you implicate me! Don’t you know who I am?!” Janice spoke out loud in anger before facing Crystal and the Madam’s expression of expectation. “She’s framing me! Carmilla, just because you hate me doesn’t mean you can use me as scapegoat for your delirious fantasies!” Janice yelled in pure anger. Crystal only gave a contented grin. “What’s wrong? Guilty?” she teased, and this only got Janice angrier as time goes on.&nbs
The rest of the day was oddly quiet, not a single sight of Janice was to be seen after the great mishap that occurred. Perhaps, maybe the woman learnt her lesson and decided to lay low for now? Whatever reason it might be, she better not be having any more thoughts on going against or scheming against Crystal. A sigh left Crystal’s lips as she gazed out the window of her room, gazing off to the vast view of the entire Villa’s Garden. It was constructed beautifully, that she herself would want to praise the artist who designed such beautiful placements and positions in the garden. It reminds her so much of her brother, Caesar
Crystal scurried out of the study after a few more moments of briefing, her heartbeat raging as if it would pop out of her chest at any given moment. Her breathing slightly unstable as she scurried back to her room assigned to her. Being thankful that not many were in the halls that time, only a maid here and there but they didn’t really bother in inquiring about her agendas. “Damn…” she mumbled under her breath as she arrived, gently slamming the door shut to avoid much attention then leaning on the wall itself while releasing a heavy sigh. She slid down in a sitting position in deep thought. ‘Carmilla is a deceiving person, not
It has been two days since Janice’s last assault. Everything was oddly quiet, not a single person dared to mess nor meddle in her affairs, not even Angelica or Antony. Crystal doesn’t know if she should be weary of the odd situation or to expect that something unexpected will happen. But nonetheless, as long as nothing has yet to happen, she should focus on the true reason why she was here in the first place. Or so her thoughts were slowly fading as a new thought arrives. Since the dreadful event occurred has something to do with the Valencia family, which means that there should be records or clues hidden in this Villa that might direct her exactly to where she needs to be. And discover things that she needs to discover during her stay here. Perhaps, th
“What…?” Cristopher’s voice stammered in disbelief over the phone. It was an hour later after Crystal left the study and shut herself in her room. She called Cristopher immediately after soothing her poor, thumping heart. Although, after a brief moment of undetailed explanation, Cristopher’s voice came out stammering suddenly, which caught the female off guard. “Cristopher? Are you alright?” Crystal asked, her brows furrowing in worry. It took a solid two minutes before the voice on the line continued. &ld
