You are my property

I woke up suddenly at the middle of the night. I opened my eyes. It was quite dark outside as there was no moon in the sky.

I felt Lucy sleeping over my bare chest. I looked at her sleeping face. She was wrapping her arms around my waist and was holding her head over my chest. Her long curly hair spread over my whole body.

I slowly moved aside her naked body and covered her with a blanket. She writhed a little in the sleep as if figured out that I was not beside her anymore.

I stepped out of the bed and covered the lower portion of my body with a towel.

I had to take a shower first....

I looked at the clock. It was almost 4 am in the morning.

I took a cold shower to make me full awake. As cold water was running all over my body,my heart and nerves felt at peace after a while. I stood under the flowing of the water to make my head clear from all thoughts.

I really wanted it at that moment....

As I walked inside the room,I saw Lucy was still sleeping,covered with the blanket. I knelt down infront of her and kissed her sleeping face.

I went near the window and looked outside.

Cold breeze coming out of the window made my hot wolf body shivered a little.

I was thinking, thinking hard about something....

"Alex...."

I was going down the stairs as I heard my granny calling from her room.

Yes,there was nothing that I could hide from her...

" Yes,granny?"

I said while entering the room at that hour.

She was sitting on her couch while reading from a book by the fire side.

" Going to see Ruth? "

She said casually while fixing her glasses.

I looked downwards as I was unable to answer her question.

" Is there anything in this world that I can hide from you, granny?"

I said after a while.

" I know I can't control you and your heart. "

She stopped reading and looked directly at my eyes. " I'm just too concern for the poor girl. I know you and Thomas - both of you are too much arrogant and thoughtless. You need to follow both of your heart and brain. Don't just do anything out of impulse... "

She sighed a little.

" Lucy came to me last night,,, she cried a lot while expressing her concern about you. She thinks you don't love her anymore. "

Granny said after a while.

I stood there with silence. I waited for her to finish the topic.

" Alex, if someday, you have to choose between her and that girl - who will you choose? "

She gave a direct look at my eyes as if she could read my mind.

" You know the answer already grandma,, don't you?"

I said slowly after a while.

" Yes, I know. "

She sighed a little and engaged in reading again.

I slowly left the room and went downstairs. After moving out of the castle, I transformed me into my wolf-self and ran through the woods. I ran past the trees,the darkness - I was feeling an urge inside of my heart- I was feeling pain - I was feeling restless. I howled while running past the forest, I howled as if my heart was filled with a numbness pain.

I moved through the alleys and roads. I had to calm down my agitated heart -

I came under the olive tree near her window. I coul not help myself but let out a distant dull painful howl.

I jumped through the window and came directly inside of her room. I transformed myself at once.

There she was! Sleeping peacefully like a little baby...

I slowly moved at her bedside. She was grabbing a pillow with her hands with her head slightly tilted backwards. I slowly lifted up her head and placed it on the pillow. She was wearing a blue linen nightgown and her hair was untied. Her soft silky hair was spread over the whole pillow. It was slightly scattered by the soft breeze which was coming from the window. A frizz of hair fell on her forehead.

I slowly placed it back while looking at her pure innocent face.

At that time,she moved slightly on the bed.I saw her mumbling about something in her sleep. Her lips were trembling, a piece of smile arose on her soft rosy lips.

I kept staring at her while nurturing her hair with my hand. I bent down and kissed her forehead.

I was thinking what Lucy and granny said to me this morning.

I looked at her thoroughly.

What was my feeling about the girl?

As if I could say it!

I remembered what Lucy was concerned for. She said if I loved the girl or not...

" Do I love you?"

I said to myself in a whisper.

She was someone who was important for my future - she was my responsibly - my property!

She must be with me for the reason to survive,otherwise, I was concerned for her life that Thomas would do something to her. Either he would try to make her his possession or he would try to take her life. In that case, nobody would have the girl in their possession - that was always the motto of Thomas. Either he would conquer everything or he would not let anyone have anything....

But, I was unsure of my feelings -

Was it only my duty towards her? Who knew?

I sighed a little.

She was someone that I could never think to harm or do anything for my pleasure.

As for Lucy, she was my temptation,my seduction, my sexual drug.She can arouse me in the most pleasurable way I want with her anytime. And also, she was my mate.

But with Ruth infront of my sight, I cannot think of anything sully to do with her even if I want to, as if she was a symbol of mysticism and purity for my mind. She was like a statue of goddess to me who was pure and innocent in her own way...

I stood up slowly and came over the window. I looked outside. I knew, some of the granny's guards were there outside to look over the girl. I transformed myself again and jumped out of the window. The first ray of sunlight would be visible anytime soon. The East part of the sky was slightly red. It is said that the night becomes more dark before the sun rises. The woods were quite dark and deep and some night birds were still chirping at that moment.

I moved over - ready to be lost deep inside of the woods....

Then I heard some foot steps behind my back and looked back at once.

" Going back?"

The cold voice said to me.
