Maddison P.O.V. “Luna?” Someone shouts from behind me. I am outside speaking to some of my animal friends, taking in the fresh air. We have been looking everywhere and in all directions going from Red River and to Blackmoon pack, but we have not been able to find Maddie and Azlela. Maddison P.O.V. After the guys close the door, I sit down with Clara on my right side and Sophie on my left. They are my Beta and Gamma, and I feel proud to have them on my side. We have become so close, and Clara keeps calling me sis, which is just adorable and sweet in a whole new league! I can’t believe I have finally gotten the family I always wanted, and from the most unlikely of places. They have just taken me in and practically adopted me. Liam P.O.V. “Are you sure you are okay?” I ask Maddie for the hundredth time. She rolls her eyes at me, giving that ‘duh’ look, but I have to make sure - again. “I am okay, Liam! Stop asking and stop worrying.” She says, looking back at her computer. We are sitting in her office, waiting for her brother to make a video call. “He is late.” She says, and I pull her to me in a side hug. “He is probably busy with something or other.” I say, but Maddie scoffs. “He has been on time for every other meeting we have had with him.” She says, looking at the clock again. She is right. Balder usually is very precise when he has these online meetings with us, although he has been acting kind of off lately this is not normal. “We’ll give him five more minutes, baby, before we start to really worry.” I tell her, and she looks at me with worry written all over her face. “I don’t know how that's going for you, but I am hella worried now.” She says, the wheels clearly turning in her pretty head.

Maddison P.O.V. Everything is a little hazy. I remember being with Liam, waiting for Balder’s video call when we got a mindlink from a guard. Then Balder was on the ground and not breathing. Liam P.O.V. After we left the hospital the next day, Maddie asked if we could go out with Balder and Lillie. I asked her what she meant, and she explained that she felt like we needed to get her settled with things like clothes, shoes etc. “I can do it online with her, but she also needs things now and we need to do something that has nothing to do with Iron Mountain or what other shit we have going.” Maddie says, smiling at me in the mirror in our room. Maddison P.O.V.I’m excited for us to get to know Lilliana and get some shopping done. We have not been out like this forever, if ever. I try to think back, but so much shit has happened since I met Liam, I can’t remember. As we are going into the mall, I grab Lilliana’s arm and walk with her in front of the guys. Clara and Sophie do the same, and we make a united front. I can hear Liam and the others laugh behind us. Lilliana looks behind her, and Balder must have nodded or something because as she looks ahead, she is smiling.
