Chapter Eighty: Vengeance

Miracle's POV

I watched them grab each photo in panic, as if it can still prevent their partners from seeing what they're hiding.

"What is this, Delilah? What is the meaning of this? After everything I did to you, you whore!" Norman exclaimed in anger, grabbing the photo in one hand and striking Delilah in the face with the other.

"Ohh. That one hurt. Her face must be numb by now." Hawk whispered beside me and I only shook my head at him although I was satisfied.

"That's still not enough after everything she put my mother through." I said coldly, my eyes shifting from them to the other couple screaming their lungs at each other.

"What are you doing going around and clinging to men when you're pregnant with my child!" Mark bursted in anger, and I'm pretty sure he could pop a vein.

"Don't turn this on me, you jerk! Who was that woman, huh?! What are you doing with other women when I'm pregnant with your child?!" Blair, being the original manipulator that s

Chapter Eighty-One: The PunisherHawkins' POVSeeing Miracle fulfill her vengeance after years of suffering was satisfying to say the least. She's always had a good heart despite everything she's been through and that is why I admire and love her. I introduced myself to Ben Jones, the woman I should be grateful to for giving birth to an amazing woman. She did not show any reaction, yet for Miracle, just seeing her mother means the world to her. We did not waste any moment in having a doctor check her. They checked her blood, urine, and did all the necessary tests to find out if there is something wrong with her. Miracle told me her mother's condition is mostly psychological, and she informed the doctor of seeing Beth crying. "That is a good sign. I have the results with me and your moth

Chapter Seventy-Nine: Mother and Daughter ReunionMiracle's POVHawk lent me his power and money to start my plan. However, he warned me not to do anything dangerous and not confront my family on my own. I am almost five months pregnant now and it was my choice not to go back to teaching until my child is born. Well, Hawk played a big part really. That overprotective husband of mine almost kneeled on his knees, begging me to stay home until I give birth or at least our baby is old enough. I've always wanted to be a mother and I know how dangerous it is to be pregnant at my age. There could be some complications in the future, I just hope they won't affect the baby. Hawk assigned a team for me to work with and we are working in his office to track my family's whereabouts. Milly and Jean are both from his company and he's letting me borrow them for the meantime. In less than a day, they were able to gather all the data we needed. "According to this, your father's company is earning l

Chapter Seventy-Eight: Simple HappinessHawkins' POVTo celebrate my Mother's birthday, my wife and I's reconciliation and just celebrating life, my family agreed to go on a trip to Miami. I felt happy and excited because I haven't been with my family on a trip in a long time, too busy dedicating myself to work, and of course, because it would be our first trip as a family. Our child might not be with us yet, but once they are out, I will make sure this will happen again. Miracle's stomach is getting bigger each day and we are both so excited to welcome our first child, no matter what gender they are. We haven't thought of a name, but we discussed it once and shared our preferences. In the end, she and I agreed to combine my parents and her mother's name. Rubbing her round stomach has been my hobby and I will find my hand subconsciously reaching out to her belly to rub it, maybe because I want our child to feel my presence somehow. Can you blame me? I was not beside them for almost

Chapter Seventy-Seven: His Secret is RevealedMiracle's POV"Oh, what's wrong, Miracle?" I heard Esme asking me because I was so shocked that I probably remained as still as a mannequin, just staring at a teenager Hawk wearing a rather familiar uniform.A memory suddenly came to mind. It was back when I was still teaching at my former school. It was the worst part of my life and I remember how Norman, his wife and Blair ganged up on me until I left feeling terribly angry and sad. I pretended I was okay in front of my students, but I looked for a hidden place and broke down at the back of a building that isn't frequently used. It felt like I would lose my mind and I was afraid of crying in front of my students, so I decided to let it out. I thought I was alone, until a voice reached my ears and I saw a student handing out his handkerchief to me. I remember him just sitting beside me and letting me cry, and he managed to convince me to share my problems with him.I forgot his face then

  • His Miracle, Her Pride   Chapter Seventy-Six: A Familiar Face

Chapter Seventy-Six: A Familiar FaceMiracle's POV When Hawk and I reconciled, it was like we were in the honeymoon phase all over again. I'm ashamed to admit that we made love in almost every corner in the new house he impulsively bought for me and my mother.I was deeply touched that he's willing to go through such lengths just to prove he was sincere, but he didn't have to do that. And now we have another house because Hawk refused to sell it, saying I can stay there if I was mad at him. Once I say goodbye to the people I've gotten close to, I will move back to his house anyway. It was our house to begin with, but the stubborn man just won't listen.Speaking of leaving, I told Hawk to give me enough time and he assured me that there was no need to rush. I truly fell in love with the town, but Hawk is right. My life, our child's life is with him and not in this place. I can't be selfish and deprive my child the best life they could ever have just because I'd rather choose my peace

  • His Miracle, Her Pride   Chapter Seventy-Five: Reconciliation

Chapter Seventy-Five: ReconciliationHawkins' POV"Because I... Huh?" I was lost for words and I continued looking at Miracle as if she had just spoken a foreign language I couldn't understand. "You weren't angry?""I mean I was of course. I thought you were kissing that woman so I got angry at you, but when you told me it wasn't as I thought it was, I had nothing to be angry about, Hawk." She sniffed and I pulled her in my arms. "Your anger was justified because of what I did. I understood why you acted the way you did. I wasn't angry because of that. I just... I don't feel like we should be together after what I did. I feel I don't deserve you. You helped me and yet I fooled you. You were good to me, but I approached you with a hidden agenda. I can't stop thinking about what could have happened to you if they succeeded."I sighed deeply and rubbed her back to calm her down. "But nothing happened, Miracle. You were also a victim like me, and if there is someone we should blame, it's

There is now a noticeable bump in my stomach and it became my favorite habit every day to rub it and talk to the growing child inside of me. I have a regular checkup with the local doctor in town and she told me we are both healthy, and that is all that matters to me. It was strange having Hawk around this time, but it warmed my heart to see him so happy. He asked me what the gender was, but I told him straight that I didn't want to know. It has also been a month since Hawk forced his way back into my life again. At first I thought he wasn't being serious about staying here. After all, his company, his family and his life is in the city. But days, weeks and a month passed and he's still here. That man is unbelievable. A few days after he followed me, he bought the land next to the house I was in and built a house a little larger than mine. He will walk with me to t

Chapter Seventy-Three: Chivalry Isn't DeadMiracle's POV"Get in the car, Miracle Pride." Hawkins said as he followed me in his car when I refused to get in.I was really surprised to see him outside the house I was staying at, and I figured he followed us last night because there is no way Landon told him where I am. I admit that I was happy seeing him, but I am also annoyed he did not respect my wishes. "No, thank you. The school is just around the corner and it's good exercise to walk around." I replied without looking at him and proceeded to walk the familiar to the school. Like usual, I stopped by the bakery and the kind old couple greeted me. I didn't have to tell them what I wanted and they were already preparing it. "For the kids?" Hawk, who appeared beside me, guessed and I raised an eyebrow at him in question. "Just a wild guess." He shrugged and knocked on the glass where the breads are displayed. "Make them double, please."I opened my mouth to protest but he was alread
