Orana’s Point of View

“What are you doing here?” I snapped, pushing myself up from the bed, turning on the lights, and there he was.

My heart was already racing. The air in the room shifted the moment he stepped closer.

Callahan didn’t answer right away. His gaze dragged over me, dark and sharp, something angry sitting just beneath the surface.

“How dare you let him touch you?”

My eyebrows pulled together. “Excuse me?”

I stepped back, but he closed the distance so fast that I couldn't even blink.

“Don’t,” I warned, lifting my hand to stop him.

His fingers brushed my arm, then my waist. He had every right to touch me.

I pushed him back. “Don’t touch me.”

But his grip tightened, pulling me into him before I could move again, almost knocking the air out of my lungs.

“Callahan!”

His hand slid up my back, holding me there. My pulse spiked, my hands pressing against him to push him back, but he didn’t let go of me.

“You let him touch you, let him see all this. Let him kiss what’s mine.” He muttered, his voice rougher now, his grip tightening on my waist, his fingers digging into my skin.

“I’m not yours!” I shot back, even as my breath came unevenly.

His hand moved, tilting my chin until I had no choice but to meet his eyes.

“Are you so sure about that?” He asked, his eyes lingering on my face.

His gaze dropped to my lips and then back to my eyes. He muttered something, then crushed his lips against mine.

The moment his lips met mine, everything else blurred.

The kiss wasn’t soft; it was hot and demanding. Heated like we were both on fire. My hands gripped his shirt before I could stop myself, pulling him closer as much as I wanted to push him away.

His hands reached for my bra and pulled it open, letting my breasts hang loose. While my hands reached for his hair, pulling back so I could kiss him more.

One hand cupped my breasts and squeezed, and the other one went between my legs, pushing the bikini aside as his fingers slid between my wet folds.

He groaned against my mouth as he rubbed my clit. I pulled my head back when he pushed his finger inside me, his mouth all over my jawline, then down to my neck.

When he pushed another finger, my hands tugged even more on his hair, pushing him into my neck. I wanted to feel him. Close to me.

His fingers twisted and fuck. I could feel my walls clenching around his finger while he fingered me.

I gasped for air as he pushed his fingers deep into me. I moaned and cried his name when I felt something like a bolt of lightning through my veins.

“Fuck, look at you coming on my fingers like a good girl,” he whispered as I rode out my orgasm, while holding on tight to him.

Callahan leaned back, watching my face, and then he laughed.

“See?” he said, twisting his finger inside me. “You don’t need another man to fuck you.”

My mouth opened and closed as I stared at him.

“I’m the only one who can make you feel like this. You’re mine to fuck,” he continued, his tone edged with arrogance. “You know it.”

My jaw tightened. “Let me go.

“Orana,” he whispered, his finger twisting, but I pushed him away.

“Get the fuck out of my room!” I demanded, while I moved back, still wet between my legs like a reminder of how stupid I was. This wasn’t about me.

He just wanted to prove some fucking point, and I let him.

He looks shocked as he raises an eyebrow. “Come on, Orana. We were just getting—’

“Get the fuck out, Callahan!” I growled, hurling the bowl of sweets at him, but he dodged the bowl.

My chest was rising and falling.

A faint smirk touched his lips. “You think you know who he is?”

“Because you don’t,” he added, stepping closer, ignoring that I almost hit him with a glass bowl. “And when you find out—”

“Enough!” I screamed, my voice cracking. “I’m so stupid. I actually let you…”

He studied me for a second, as if he were deciding whether to push further or walk away.

He opened his mouth to say something, but then his phone rang.

He frowned slightly, pulling it out, his expression shifting the moment he saw the name. We both looked at it.

Marissa.

I hoped he wouldn’t pick, but something flickered in his eyes, and he picked up.

“What happened?”

I stood there, watching as he turned away, listening to what she was saying, and his posture tightening with every second.

“I’m coming,” he said, already moving. He didn’t even look back at me. Like, I didn’t matter to him. Like, he didn’t just make me feel alive again.

The door opened, and just like that, he was gone.

I stood there for a long moment, the silence pressing in around me.

My arms tightened around me, tears threatening to fall. I let him in, and he still left.

For her. Again.

Orana’s Point of ViewMy arms rested on my knees as I watched people enjoy swimming, while I couldn’t even dip my feet in it.London felt too far, and Liorah’s absence lingered whenever I was alone. And the guys disappearing to drink only made it louder. I exhaled slowly, trying to ignore the way everything felt off since he found out we have a daughter.I saw the look in his eyes when I reminded him of what he had said. There was a flicker of regret, and he looked pained when he saw the picture of Liorah, but he had made his choice. He wanted a family with Marissa. He should do that.I sighed heavily, pressed my lips together when I felt a crawl over my skin. That little feeling you feel when someone is watching you.The hairs along my arms lifted before I even looked up.My gaze snapped toward the exit, and I caught a glimpse of him.Vaughn?Already turning away, his shoulders hunched like he was carrying the weight of the world.“Wait—”The word barely made it past my lips before h

Vaughn’s Point of ViewI shouldn’t have snapped. But the moment Carla’s hand slid up my arm, something in me recoiled before I could stop it. My body went rigid, jaw tightening as I stepped back as if her touch burned.“Don’t,” I said sharply. She smiled as if she’d been waiting for that reaction.“You used to like it when I touched you,” she murmured, tilting her head, her fingers brushing my sleeve again, deliberate this time, dragging just enough to make a point. My patience snapped.“I said don’t touch me,” I bit out, louder than I intended. Her smile widened. “Still chasing after someone who won’t ever want you?”I dragged my attention back to her, something cold settling into my chest. “Mind your fucking business.”She laughed softly, crossing her arms like this was all entertainment to her. “Or you could stop pretending and come back to me.”“There’s nothing to come back to.”Her expression flickered, but only for a second. “We can make it work.”“No.” The word came out final.

Orana’s Point of ViewHe promised that he would be here.Vaughn was never late.My gaze flicked to the door and then to the clock, and then back to the chair again.Minutes passed, then an hour.I inhaled slowly, reaching for my phone under the table. My thumb hovered for half a second, hesitating to call him. I knew I could handle this, but somehow I still wanted him here. Was I going crazy cause my boss wasn’t here or something else?I pressed the call button, and it rang. No answer.I called again, and no answer again. A small crease formed between my brows. I ended the call and tried again, my leg bouncing faintly under the table. He didn’t pick, but once everyone was looking at the project, I moved from the table to the corner and called him again. This time, he picked up.“What?”I straightened. “You’re late.”Silence stretched between him and me.“Vaughn,” his name was like a plea on my lips.“Start without me.”My grip on the phone tightened. “That’s not like you. Marissa’s Point of ViewShe had a daughter. Callahan’s daughter.I couldn’t decide which part hurt, knowing there was a child or the way his eyes followed her as if nothing else in the room mattered. For years, I had been patient. Pretended to be happy with whatever scraps of affection he threw my way, and I was happy.I used to be the one he chased. Now, every time she walked in, something in him shifted. A tilt of his head. A pause in his breath. That look. Like he was, it was the most beautiful thing in the room. It used to be me he looked like that.My nails pressed into my palm as I watched him step away from the crowd, his expression already closing off, his shoulders straightening as if he was putting distance between himself and everything else. Including me.The elevator doors slid open, and he stepped inside without looking back. I slipped in just before they closed, the quiet hum of the lift wrapping around us.“Callahan,” I mumbled.Just stood there, eyes forward, jaw tig

Orana’s point of viewI just lay there, staring at the ceiling, letting the events of last night flicker behind my eyes in broken pieces. My chest tightened, and I pushed the feeling down, forcing myself out of bed before it could settle in. I quickly changed into something formal. I realized I must meet the lady for the Airbnb, which I intend to rent for the next couple of weeks. The restaurant smelled faintly of coffee when I stepped in. My eyes immediately searched for Vaughn.I found him exactly where I expected him to be. Seated at the table, shoulders slightly hunched, his attention locked onto the tablet in his hands. It was as if he was there, but not really.I hated that I noticed it.I took a deep breath before making my way towards the tablet. This time, he didn’t even look up at me, and I don’t know why that hurts.I slid into the chair across from him, a smile on my lips. He didn’t look up immediately. When he finally did, his lips curved into a small smile, almost forced
