The moon goddess’s POV

“Hello, Tristian Crimson. I have been watching you,” I tell him. I hold up my hand and he falls to the ground. “I never chose you as an Alpha. I chose Bella. I made her stronger, faster, better than all the rest. You have destroyed all the gifts I gave you.”

Tristian is frozen in my command.

“Shift,” I tell Rex. Stone stands in front of me. “Stone you took my charge a little too literal, but you got there in the end. I gave you Bella as a gift. Don’t be unworthy.”

Stone kneels, “You have my word.”

I look at Shelby and nod.

“Tristian Crimson, I sentence you to death,” I say, stepping back for Rex and Shelby to kill him.

Tristian closes his eyes to accept his fate.

Once he is dead, Shelby and Rex bow before me.

“Erik will die at the hand of Slate; Tellie is pregnant with the next Conroy Alpha. Soon Bella will be too. I bless you both,” I touch their heads. “I bless your union. Don’t think for a moment I ever forgot you. I needed you to be who are you now. I was preparing you. Tristian is dead, Erik will be soon. But evil is always at work. I gave you each other, with your own strengths, for this time and this place. Blessed be!”

I come back to my realm as Shelby and Rex run back to their pack.

“Thank you,” Ki says to me as she and Steven watch.

“He would have come back again and again. Bella would have never known peace,” I say.

“I know, thank you,” Ki repeats.

“Any way to go back and like, kill the attackers? Maybe get to hug our grandchildren?” Steven asks.

“Sorry, no,” I tell him.

Ki leans in and watches as Marcella hugs Bella.

“My arms are there too,” I hear her whisper.

“She is impressive, isn’t she?” Steven smiles. “We didn’t do so bad.”

Ki and Steven hug as we watch. Justin and Bella crash into each other and hold on for dear life. Raymond steals her next. Ryan charges the field, and the four friends stand together.

The rogues are taken into custody and will be held for a long time. I have plans for a few. Most will never see freedom.

I watch the Bazin Pack clean up and start anew.

“It’s time Ki, Steven,” I pull them back.

“Just one more look,” Ki begs, clinging to view.

“She isn’t even your blood,” I say.

“When did that ever matter?” Ki asks.
