As the car sped through the city streets, the steady hum of the engine lulling me into a false sense of security, I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief wash over me. Adrian had come through for me once again, his unwavering support providing me with the strength I needed to face whatever lay ahead.

But as the minutes turned into hours, the exhaustion of the day's events began to catch up with me. My eyelids grew heavy, weighed down by the stress and uncertainty that had plagued me for so long. With a weary sigh, I allowed myself to succumb to sleep, the rhythmic motion of the car lulling me into a restless slumber.
