Chapter 18: Shopping for Lara

Lara frowned as she remembered Samson had told the saleswoman to select any clothes she wanted.

She said, "Okay, bring it like that. As long as it fits me."

The saleswoman replied with an "Okay."

Mike sat in his SUV waiting and did not see Samson and Lara stepping out, as he did not have his phone with him. He got out of the SUV, put on his black sunglasses to cover his eyes, and then spotted his sister, Gloria, along with a lady his parents wanted him to court named Stella, walking into the shopping mall and the same boutique where Lara and Samson had gone.

Mike felt uneasy knowing that Gloria did not know Samson. He felt relieved that he was not the one who had accompanied Lara to shop for her clothes.
