34. Betrayal

As soon as I finished the call ,I started to walk towards Elijah's study room.

Elijah...my brother whom I admire the most and as look up to him as he always has been my inspiration. Though he is my cousin, he never made me feel like one and I always treated him as my own brother.

When I decided to join the Mafia business with Elijah,my mother was the most upset. She in fact blamed Elijah for instigating me for the decision and then there was a huge argument between me and my mother. My father was reluctant but then supported me...but not wholeheartedly. But my mother was a tough nut to crack.

When I started to work with Elijah,my mother stopped talking with me and after almost 2 years,she started talking to me….Thanks to bhai (Elijah) who convinced her and her relationship with me and Bhai got back to normal again.

I have been working with him for almost 8 years and still my mother is very much reluctant about it as she fears for my safety. I totally understand her
