CHAPTER TWO: Pack Hospital, Safehaven Pack

"Luna, the head is crowning, you have to push harder," Sara, one of the pack midwives, said. Amy was drained of her strength, she couldn't push anymore.

She closed her eyes, the midwife tapped her and she opened them. Kamara and Adrianna were there to support her. Kamara was wiping the sweat off her forehead while Adrianna was assisting the midwife.

She screamed harder and one of the twin boys came out with a wail. She looked at the baby and felt proud. Just then she felt another contraction hit her and she gasped.

She felt another wave of pain and to deal with the pain, Snowstorm tried to come out. The midwives panicked and tried to hold her from changing into her wolf form. They couldn't restrain her.

Adrianna ran to call Theodore. Meanwhile, Theodore was pacing furiously along the hallway when he heard his wife scream, he wanted to dash into the room.

Shane and Calhoun held him down. Calhoun said, "when Adrianna was about to give birth to Chase, she almost brought the roof down with her scream."

Shane also said, " Kamara's was no better, she almost bit my head off, I still have the scars from where she bit me. So stay away from your mate, she would be very aggressive."  They continued telling him about their experiences.

Just then he heard another scream and he shuddered. He was seated with the men when he saw Adrianna running towards him with a worried look on her face.

Her mate asked her what was wrong. She replied, "Amy has given birth to the first boy but she is having difficulty in pushing the second. She can't bear the pain so Snowstorm decided to come out which is harmful to her and the baby."

"You are needed right now, only you can calm her down now, or else we will lose both." She concluded

Before she finished speaking, Theodore was running down the hallway into the room she was in. He could hear growls, whimpers, and cries.

He could feel Snowstorm's emotions, he could see her getting restless and now his wolf Cloud is nudging him to go near his mate. He is threatening to come out so he can comfort his mate.

Adrianna and the others ran after him with looks of concern. There hadn't been a case like this, they all had normal delivery without their wolves threatening to come out. This came to them as a shock.

Theodore got to the doorway and stood at a loss as to whether to go in or not. Cloud spoke," Fool get in, our mates need us. If you do not go in, I will take over." He could feel his chest tightening, he could feel her emotions.

Cloud was still speaking but he wasn't listening, he shut off the link. Adrianna and the others caught up to him and she motioned for him to go in. He saw his hands trembling and looked back at Adrianna.

She looked at him with a smile that seemed to read all will be well and signaled him to go in. He went in and saw Amy being restrained. She went in with him.

He could see her alternating between her real self and her wolf. He could hear Cloud hurrying him to go to her. He got to his senses and hurried towards her.

He got to her and cradled her head in his arms and spoke some words to her. She thrashed about at first but later calmed down when she smelt him. She turned to her real self.

The midwife heaved a sigh of relief and turned back to signal him to leave. He turned to leave when he heard Snowstorm whimper. He turned to stay.

The midwife told him not to worry and leave, scarcely had he turned when he heard Snowstorm growl. She spoke through the link.

" Move an inch and I will snap your neck or better still I will harm myself"

He could hear Cloud berating him and trying to console Snowstorm. He turned back immediately and held her hand.

He could feel his hand break, she was gripping it too hard.

He bore with the pain and kept saying consoling words. She tried to push and when she felt the pain, she bit his arm. He took the napkin from Adrianna and wiped her sweat.

The midwife shouted," The head is crowning, the baby is coming." When Theodore heard this, he encouraged her to push harder.

She growled at him, "stupid, you think it is easy. You put me into this state and you can still open your mouth." She felt another pain and gasped. Theodore kept quiet and bore her curses, insults, and tears.

Just then heard the cry of the newborn and he saw Amy smile while tears were streaming down her face. She fainted after seeing the baby and he panicked.

He was told that she was only sleeping and he felt comforted. He was brought to see the babies. He could see their stares and he couldn't believe he was a father.

He didn't hear the voices of congratulations.

He came out of the room shocked and walked towards his friends. They slapped him on the shoulder and congratulated him. Seeing him in a daze, they laughed at him 

"When I first saw my son, I had a million thoughts running through my head, I couldn't believe I had a mini-me," Shane said.

Calhoun told him," When I first saw Chase, I almost turned. I was so excited that Libra almost came out, I had to contain my emotions."

He came out of his stupor and shouted "I am a father." He started laughing and his friends laughed along with him. Everyone was infected with happiness.

He went back into the room and saw Amy awake. She was already cleaned up and in a new dress. He pulled her into a hug and they felt tears gather in their eyes.

They looked at their sons lovingly. Amy asked their names. Theodore looked at the infants in their cots and called their names Lane and Leonard Cohen. Amy agreed with him.

Just then the others who had left to give the couple space to enjoy their newly found happiness burst into the room bearing gifts.

Calhoun yelled loudly," I am now a godfather, we now have little alphas."

Kamara replied, " that title belongs to my mate and me."

They got into a fight of words, Adriann and Shane moved closer and dropped their gifts. Adrianna proclaimed," they are both handsome, they will grow to be little heartbreakers."

Shane nodded his head and asked, " what are their names?" Amy replied, " Leonard and Lane Cohen."

Calhoun and Kamara, who were both exchanging words, stopped abruptly and looked at Amy. Amy seeing their gazes asked, 

" What?"

Calhoun replied with a chuckle and Kamara said, "good but I get to be the godmother."

Calhoun, hearing her words, attacked her once more. Theodore on seeing Amy tired and sleepy threw them out and peace was once restored to the room.

Amy said," now there is less noise," when she didn't hear Theodore speak, she looked up to see him looking at her with a warm gaze.

"Thank you for birthing our sons, I promise to continue loving you. I promise to protect you and our kids."

Amy felt her eyes water and she leaned into his embrace. Words did not need to be spoken, her action said it all. They held onto each other for a while then they heard a wail. The atmosphere was broken.
