I watch as Galena and our baby rush through the secret door with trepidation before I close it behind them. Turning back, I prepare to fight whoever is rushing up the stairs. It sounds like a stampede of bulls is heading in my direction.
Letting my demon loose, I let my eyes change into their icy color, extend my claws, and release my fangs. My body swells with power as rage courses through me.
As soon as the door bursts open, I fight. A group of hellhounds burst through the doors, their claws out as they begin to slash. Using my sword skills, I tear through their bodies, slicing their heads and limbs, but they keep coming.
