Octava’s pov

My mind was filled with so many things while I walked through the night. But then I heard someone call my name.

I stopped in my stead as I recognized the voice.

Slowly, I turned to see that it was Jakeson who was standing there. He wasn’t wearing his clothing from before, he had changed. He was in his casual clothing.

“Octava,” he said, a smile spreading across his face.

As I looked at his hands, they were spread out like he was trying to beg me for something.

“I’m busy,” I said to him. “You need to go now before I call security.”

“Octava, it’s me…”

I scoffed. “I don’t know who you are.”

That shocked him as I turned to walk away.

“Please… wait,” he said in a shaky voice.

I turned to look at him but before I could say anything, someone joined me.

“Sister, is everything alright?”

I turned to see Kaelan standing behind me with a sword in his hand that had wood chipping around it. He had no shirt on with his muscles coated in sweat. His face was red with flustered exhaustion
