ROWAN

“It is good to be alive!” I smiled stretching. Since Vivian got back, I had been sleeping like a newborn baby. No nightmares or waking up at odd hours of the night. I was truly happy and at peace. Glad she was alive. Glad her kidnappers didn’t harm her, and I thanked the Goddess every day for keeping her safe for me.

Today, we were throwing a welcome ball for Vivian. We wanted to tell the whole pack that she was back and safe. With us. Things could only get better from there on. I was sad about one thing though, the fact that she wasn’t my mate.

But who cared about that, I could always take her as my chosen mate. I sighed sadness filling me. “Aurora…” her name came out as a whisper on my lips. I went to my drawer and took out the divorce papers she gave me.
