Winny.

I woke up lazily and rolled on my back. The sun filtered the room with beautiful golden rays, and it felt like paradise. I rolled over and blinked hard.

I knew I wasn’t familiar with this room, but the scent? I was damn familiar with that. Somewhere, somehow, I was in Alpha’s Sean’s building, probably on his bed. Judging from the dream I had last night, I had the feeling this could also just be another dream…

Or another trick.

I was terrified at the thought of still being trapped in the woods.

“Wine,” Alpha Sean called out. I sighed in relief, staring at him as he brought a tray of coffee to the bed. He had a beautiful smile playing on his lips. His shirt’s sleeves were folded halfway, and his buttons were undone. His hair was slightly wet, making it glow under the sun. He looked stunning and different.

“Have some coffee.”

Yesterday, I was battling a wolf, and today, one is serving me coffee in bed. Whatever paradise this was, I want to keep living it for the rest of my life.

Sean.Everyone was gathered an hour after I had called for the pack meeting. I needed to do this now. They all sat in their silken gowns and pants, all whispering about their thoughts. Lena and Mark were also present, sitting beside each other. I caught them talking at some point. It never occurred to me that seeing Lena with Mark could get me so upset. I didn’t know what I was upset about, but it was concerning. The lights were turned on, the candles lit, and all doors and windows closed. It was time. Everything became silent like a graveyard. The bells were rung, and I started the meeting.I stood up, and they all stood up, as tradition had it; everyone bowed before me. Their heads remained low to the ground till I took my seat. I saw Mark peeking at me when he was bowing his head. I knew he was up to no good.“Today,” I started, resting my hand on the wolf head armchairs. “We would be talking about the woman we sent to the Trial of Truth. Today is the seventh day, making it a we

WinnyI sat comfortably on the soft living room couch, resting my head on the headrest, staring at the silver crystals of the chandelier. The scent of milk and honey still filled the air from the cups of tea I had with Alpha Sean earlier.A thousand thoughts clouded my mind, raining destruction the more I thought of them. The trees, wolf, name, mirror, and the well.I blinked the thoughts away, but instantly started another worrisome thought. Grace. It’s a hard pill to swallow, my inability to meet up, knowing how worried she would be. I was wandering around the large living room, staring at the hall of fame descended from the oldest Territorial Alpha till I got to Alpha Sean, the cutest amongst them all. Walking around today made me realise I hadn’t taken the time to examine the beauty of the house. Just how old is this house?I halted when voices started to echo and shoes clacking into the sitting room. Alpha Sean’s words flashed back to my memory. No one knew I was around, not yet

Sean. It’s been five days since she left. I go to the edge of the Haunted every morning, afternoon, and night, hoping she would emerge miraculously from the woods and jump into my arms. But every time I went to check on her, she never came out. There was no trace of her, apart from the stabbing feeling in my chest.I couldn’t concentrate on anything, not even my sleep.I lived with guilt and regret since the day I let her sleep in the cell. But I couldn’t help it; the news already spread faster than I could handle. The council had already gathered and called me that night. They have all waited for a moment like this. They are like groups of serpents, hoping and waiting for me to mess up so they can strangle and poison me, then watch me die. Things were better when Raymond was alive. He knew how to talk to me and advise me on things that matter. Now was the moment I missed him the most. His absence reminded me of Winny’s absence again, drawing me into dark circles. I remember how Bet

WinnyThe wolf disappeared when the strange feeling enveloped me and set my heart ablaze. I still couldn’t tell if it was real or not, but I was determined to leave this place as soon as I came.I came across a path that was divided into three roads. Darkness swallowed the little I could see from where I stood. I knew this was another diversion, a test to make me walk astray. Then the trees started to talk, and I could hear them. There was a tree at the beginning of every route, and I could hear them call on me and ask me to pass their route, promising to take me back home. I have tried a lot of things for people, and betrayal was all I ever got in return, yet I have to trust one of these routes. My mind tells me that if I make the wrong decision here, then I will be trapped in the woods forever with no way out. “Do you want to go back to fucking the handsome King or not?” One of the trees whispers.“You need to find out more about who you truly are. There is only one way to find

Winny. It was cold and empty. I could feel that I was the only one in the forest, yet I didn’t give up on finding my way out of this Trial of Truth.I sat where I was for hours. When I woke up, it didn’t look like a second had passed. Then I figured the sun may never rise till I solve this puzzle and get out of here. I needed food, and I was starving. It was dangerous to pick up any fruit to eat or touch any flowers. Anything could be poisonous, and keeping me starved might be part of the whole system.I walked further and found a river.“Thank goodness.”
