When I got to my apartment, the whole place was dark and it felt off. Sure I switched off the light in my place when Noah picked me up the last time I went to his place and that was the place I had been ever since but this darkness felt different, kind of threatening. 

I was about to chalk it up to my over active imagination when I felt more than a saw something move. “Hello?” I called out, my voice wavering a little, “Is somebody in here. You are not supposed to.” 

I would have rolled my eyes at how tacky I sounded, I have imagined scenarios like this in my head and each of those fantasy scenes, I always say something cool, I always remained calm and collected. I gave an uneasy laugh. If only George the tv presenter saw me right now, his still present idea of an ice queen will be over and replaced with scardy cat queen so fast that it would give me a whiplash.
