CHAPTER THIRTY-SEVEN: I Saw You Die

I gave him my expressionless face and slowly pushed the door close.

“Please... let me sleep there. I’m going to die in fright in my room,” he begged stopping the door from closing.

I narrowed my eyes at him and studied his facial expressions. Grains of sweat were visible on his forehead. His eyes were restless. His breathing shallow and his heartbeat was fast. All signs of fear.

“We’re all girls in here,” I told him.

“I know and I don’t have any bad intensions. I swear.” He raised his right hand swearing.

I looked at the girls. They looked at each other having conversation through their eyes. They nodded at the same time before nodding back at me altogether. The majority have decided. I didn’t have a choice but let him in. I pulled the door open to provide him an access. I looked left and right to check any sign of the lady in red but there was none. I closed the door and locked it.

“I’ll sleep on the sofa.” He leaned over to put his things but Mandy jumped in before his blanket
