CHAPTER THIRTY-TWO: Galaxy

“I swear! I don’t know.” Xyrus raised his hand for the nth time when I glared at him again.

The boy was still shivering. I grabbed a thick cloth in the cabinet and covered the boy but was useless. My left brow rose when his tremble slowed. I averted my gaze at the little girl beside me. She was looking at the little boy. She extended her hand to his direction trying to reach him.

My hand moved as if it has a mind of its own and grabbed the little girl’s hand. Her hand was warm despite her being a lost soul. I gasped jerking my hands off her.

I-I just touched a ghost!

I walked backwards while staring at my hands. How was that even possible?

“H-Hey...” Xyrus grabbed my shoulders and hid behind me.

My lips distorted in disbelief. What a scaredy-cat.

I returned my sight to the girl and she was looking at me. Her lips parted as though time slowed down. She was mumbling something but all I heard was gargling sound. I narrowed my eyes and focused on her lips.
