CHAPTER THIRTY-THREE: I Killed You

During the weekends, I stayed at the mansion and on the dorm at weekdays. The cafe was temporarily closed because of Grandma’s funeral. I’ve talked to Dad that I will continue to work at the cafe. The cafe needs me at this crucial time since Grandma is gone and Xyrus didn’t really know how to handle a business.

“Preston Grey?” our teacher called. I glanced at the seat on my right and it was empty. “Absent again?”

A week had passed since the last time we saw each other. It was at the reapers’ den.

Seeing someone’s death happen before the actual event is amazing. Having the power to save other souls is great. The only burden was when you see two deaths at a time and you have to choose. Choosing means you get to decide who deserves to die and who deserves to live. I am just a sealer and I don’t know why the heavens granted me such a beautiful burden.
