Chapter 10: Do You Remember Me?

Sarah’s POV.

I blink hard when someone removes my eyepatch, straining against the sudden brightness. My heart starts pounding in my chest as I realize I'm in an office. The man in front of me is tall and muscular, with a shaved head and a dangerous look on his face. He dresses in costly outfits and reflects a sense of superiority.

He appears to recognize me, verifying my identification by placing a photograph of me leaving Henry's residence on the table. As I examine this situation, panic expands in my chest.

"So," he says, his tone calm and calculated. "Where is the black diamond?"

"I don't know what you're talking about," I answer, attempting to seem confident despite my anxiety. "I've never even heard of a black diamond."

I jump as the man's eyes widen, and he smacks his hand on the table. "Don't play dumb with me," he says, slapping my face with a low, threatening voice. "Fuck you, Bitch!" I noticed you leaving Henry's house. Did you hand it over to Henry?"

My mind races as I
