Chapter 40: I’m not who I thought I was

Sarah’s POV.

I frown as I see that the bullet leaps from the trigger appear weird. It's more like a syringe piercing into his flesh. After all, he rolls his eyes and gradually goes into a dead faint.

Mrs. Lincoln presses the red button on his wheelchair, causing the system to shut off. All his wolf-likeness becomes normal again and they don’t remember why they’re here in the first place.

I unlock the tie for Henry, and his eyes lock on mine. He always acts like this. Like an asshole and professional playboy. Give me hope, then leave it at that. But I understand it. Because we’re in a different world.
