MasukEdward’s P.O.V
When I heard that the DNA test result was out, I abandoned everything I was doing at that moment and headed straight to the hospital.
When I arrived, Darren was already waiting for me there, he was standing in front of the clinical laboratory.
“Are you Mr. Edward Warner?” One of the staff asked me.
“Yes, it’s me.” The staff handed over a document to me.’
“This is the result of yo
Agata's P.O.VEdward was standing outside the room. I hesitated before opening the door slightly. He was standing outside, holding a cup of tea.“I brought you something.”I looked at the cup before looking back at him.“I didn't ask for this.”“I know. You like it this way.”I frowned.“That doesn't mean you know me.”Edward lowered his gaze toward the tea.“Maybe I'm trying to remember.”For a moment, I didn't know what to
Agata's P.O.VThree days later, Edward was finally discharged from the hospital.Darren arrived to pick us up, and before long, we were on our way to the mansion. I sat in the back seat beside Elias, holding his little hand while he curiously looked out the window. The closer we got to the mansion, the more uneasy I became. When the car finally stopped in front of the familiar building, I couldn't help but stare at it for a moment. The grand entrance, the perfectly maintained garden, and the enormous glass windows were all exactly as I remembered them.Nothing had changed.Yet, everything felt different.I had spent years trying to bury the memories I made
Agata’s P.O.V“You want me to stay with you?” I asked him in disbelief.Edward looked at me from his hospital bed, his expression unusually calm. Despite the injuries he had sustained, he seemed more concerned about my answer than his own condition.“Yes. You, me, and our son, Elias. Together, like a family. Just for a month.”I stared at him, wondering whether I had heard him correctly. After everything that had happened between us, he was actually asking me to live under the same roof as him again? Before I could say anything, a familiar man's voice echoed from the doorway, accompanied by the sound of hurried footsteps.“Absolutely not!”Edward and I turned our heads toward the entrance at the same time. William was standing there, his expression dark with anger. He quickly approached us before stepping between Edward and me, as though he wanted to make sure Edward couldn't get any closer.“There is no way she's staying with you. You are a danger to her, and I would never allow her
Agata’s P.O.V“Edward, you’re injured.” Edward, who was still wrapping his arms around me didn’t bother with the injury, he grabbed my hand and dragged me back inside the building. Under the chandelier light, I could clearly see the graze on his suit and blood flowing from his shoulder.“Edward, you’re bleeding! We need to get you to the hospital!”“Looks like someone was sent to end your life, I saw a shooter from a building aiming at you, that’s why I rushed toward you.” He reasoned.“But why would you do that?” I asked him out of frustration. He suddenly reached out his hand and touched my cheek.“I alre
Agata’s P.O.V “How did you get my number?” Veronica walked toward me with a small frown on her face. “Where else? I got it from your ex, Edward, of course.” Hearing me mention Edward only deepened the frown on her face. “Hmph, did you invite me here just to throw that in my face? Are you happy now that Edward is chasing you again?” She accused. I looked at her with a calm expression. “No, I already told you, I am not interested in Edward anymore. Since the day I found out he had an affair with you, he was dead to me.” I explained. “Then why did you invite me?” She asked with some hostility in her tone. “Why don’t you sit down first? Let’s have a civil conversation.” She was a bit hesitant, but eventually sat down in front of me and looked at me with a serious gaze. “Veronica, I know you’re the woman behind the most recent PR scandal that happened in my company.” I wasted no time and went straight to the point. Instead of denying it, a small smirk formed on her lips. “Oh, so
Agata's P.O.VOn Monday, I came to the office again and right after lunch, Hannah approached me with a rather delighted but also annoyed expression. “Boss, we checked all of the CCTV in the company and manufacturing building in the past week and we managed to catch the mole.” She said. “Is that so? Bring that person here.” I replied. Hannah nodded and left. Not long after, my office door burst open again and Hannah along with a few others were dragging a woman who was still wearing her lab coat inside and they pushed her into the ground. The woman was seen crying and she had fear in her face.
