"He tasted the food and liked it. I was happy he enjoyed it."

I observed my mother to know if there were other things she was hiding from but she was so engrossed with the second part of the meeting.

"Was that all you both discussed?"

"Not at all. He asked how we attained this height and I explained to him."

"Was he expecting us to remain the same or keep asking him for help?"

"That is his problem and he should deal with it. Sandra, help me get the water close to you."

Since my hands were still clean, I poured the content into a glass cup and handed it over to her. I can't remember the last time I ate together with my mother.

She drank the whole water and belched. "I know it was because of this story, that made you come to the table to eat."

I laughed, "Yes, you are right."

"What about Damien? Did you both talk?"

"Mother, you know how busy I am. Well, I gave him a little time to explain himself."
