Alessia's POV

I slowly came in front of Elijah. Even when he was sitting I felt like I was squirming. I stood in front of him and felt uneasy but I kept myself from getting restless.

I can't look at him. I would like to ask permission if I can get dressed first because the clothes I'm wearing are thin, but they look decent and not rude.

I was just looking at the floor like it was a very interesting thing until I heard a taste from Elijah. I didn't look at him.

"Ales," he promised in a baritone and I felt like I was going to sin again because of his voice. "You're a girl?" he confirmed but I couldn't speak because I was too nervous. "No, you're a girl. Why...did you lie to me?"

I felt a sullenness in his voice that I don't know why I felt that way.

I can understand him being angry because I lied, but sulking? It shouldn't be like that.

"I-I didn't mean it, Your Majesty," I promised him weakly and I felt like I was going to be punished at any moment.
