After passing through multiple guards and checks, the car carrying Deric finally entered the Mililine Tower 2 area. The man then got out of the car. Not long after, his three siblings also set foot in front of the building lobby.

The luxury car carrying Deric finally returned to the road. Seeing this, James could only bite his lips hard. He was very upset because he was not allowed to touch the car of his dreams. It's like seeing a pile of diamonds in front of your eyes, but your hands and feet can't touch them.

"You're just lucky, Rubbish!" cursed James at Deric who was scanning around the building.

James felt the need to quell his frustration by teasing Deric. To that end, he kicked the back of the wheelchair until Deric almost fell out of it. Thankfully, the man with the blue bead was still in his chair.

"James!" screeched Jeremy in a stifled voice. His eyes glared as if he wanted to devour his brother whole. For the first time in his life, he didn't want to see Deric get hurt.

"Do you want us all to die?" Jeremy gripped the side of James' coat tightly.

James chuckled, then turned his face in a random direction while shoving both hands into his pockets. "Blame that deformed man."

"Behave yourself at least for the next little while, James. After today is over, I promise I won't prevent you from doing anything to this cripple man," Jeremy continued as he released his grip. He was not at all bothered even though he knew that Deric heard his words.

"I think James is just nervous," Deric said as he turned around.

"And I think that you deserve to die," James snapped as he widened the distance between Jeremy and Jonathan.

Deric and the others were taken to the location of the event, which was located on the rooftop of the building. They were escorted by a woman and also three black uniformed bodyguards, who then excused themselves as Deric and the others began to enter the event location.

Once inside, Deric was presented with an expanse of green grass with various flowers planted neatly in several parts. The decoration of this place is dominated by white roses, as well as ribbons with matching colors. Two small fountains are standing on the left and right sides. To add to the impression of luxury and elegance at the same time, this location is covered by a transparent dome.

Deric smiled. His body moved with the wheelchair he was sitting on, while his eyes scanned the surroundings with sparkling beads. There was no one other than him and his three siblings here which was why Deric could freely move around the room.

Seeing this, James seemed to get his chance. He vented his frustration by pushing Deric's wheelchair and then threw it down suddenly.

It happened in the blink of an eye. Deric, who was still busy observing the surroundings, was stunned when his wheelchair slid quickly. By the time he realized James was standing behind him with a face full of satisfaction, the wheelchair was first forced to stop when it touched the dome surrounding the room. This caused his body to be pushed forward.

Realizing he was about to hit the glass wall, Deric held his body with both hands. Unfortunately, the man had to accept the fact that his forehead hit the glass wall quite hard even though his body was back in the wheelchair afterward.

"You deserve that, Trash!" screeched James without pity.

"You want to kill us, James," Jeremy growled. His hands immediately tugged at his brother's shirt collar. "I warned you earlier."

"I don't care." James released Jeremy's grip, then looked away from his brother who was glaring at him.

"Stop acting like a child!" Jonathan suddenly threw a punch at James' stomach.

James cried out, clutching his stomach which felt like it was being drained.

"I think that's too much," Deric said without looking up from the view of the beach and sea he was looking at through the glass wall in front of him. "James was just showing me a nice view."

"I don't need your pity," James snapped.

Shortly afterward, the venue was visited by several people in uniform. Helen came to check on the preparations. After seeing that the room was perfect, the woman with her hair in a ponytail then approached Jeremy, Jonathan, and James.

"Mr. Jacob, your wedding ceremony is about to begin," Helen said as she looked at the three men in turn. She had no idea which of the brothers was Jacob Aberald as Caraline had not shown his a picture or mentioned any physical characteristics of the groom.

Deric heard Helen's words, but he did not move from his current place. His presence was blocked by his three brothers so that the woman with glasses did not see him.

After saying that, Helen went to Caraline's room to tell her that the wedding was ready.

"Miss Caraline," Helen called, "Mr. Jacob is waiting for you at the wedding site."

Caraline who was in front of the window instantly turned around. Her cell phone immediately dropped from her ear. She hurriedly put the phone into her bag.

"Miss Caraline, about your family ...." Helen stopped talking immediately.

"None of them are coming, Helen," Caraline said as she turned to face her assistant.

Helen immediately picked up on the situation. For that reason, she stopped talking about the family and chose to guide Caraline to the venue.

Caraline stopped not far from the entrance. She let Helen go first. Her mind was buzzing with competition again. However, the woman had been thinking about this for some time. Her feelings were leaning towards canceling the wedding. Even if the Aberald family was angry and accused her of playing them, she could easily shut them up with money and power. After all, they wouldn't be averse to an extra zero in the account.

When it comes to the man named Deric, Caraline doesn't have to feel guilty at all. The deformed man had no ability, no hope, let alone a future. In a world that values money and power, such a man is a product of failure.

In reality, how could a deformed man be with a perfect woman like her? Even an ordinary woman would think a thousand times about having a husband who is in a wheelchair all day.

That's right. Caraline had already decided to resign. So, there was no point in her wearing a long dress and attending this stupid event. She would rather leave and get back to her work that was contributing to her life.

"Helen...," Caraline whispered.

Feeling the call, Helen instantly looked back. She hurriedly ran towards Caraline to narrow the distance. "Come, Miss."

Surprisingly, Caraline's long legs were moving forward rather than away, even though she had just echoed the decision to call off the wedding. However, what happened to her was unexpected. Currently, Caraline was walking the red carpet holding a bouquet of white roses.

Caraline could feel the real wedding feel from this room. The rooftop garden decor was perfect for her. Again, she had Helen to thank. Up ahead, Caraline found three men from the Aberald family standing and looking at her. The chairs behind and beside them were empty, except for the one Helen was now sitting on.

This was crazy. Caraline thought to herself as her feet kept moving. It wasn't until she was halfway there that her steps suddenly stopped. From where she was, Caraline could see the man named Jacob Aberald at the wedding altar with his back to her.

Honestly, this was Caraline's last chance to stop this madness. Turning around and leaving this room was something she had to do now. After all, why would she spend time with a useless note-taking man?

Caraline turned around, her back to the wedding altar. Her eyes were firmly closed as her hands lifted her skirt. As her right foot was about to take a step forward, she surprisingly heard the laughter of someone she recognized. Caraline was momentarily stunned and soon her eyes opened again.

Caraline turned back to face the altar. It took her a few seconds to make sure she was ready. When her gaze fell on the altar, the first thing she saw was a man with blue eyes smiling at her.

"Jacob?" At the mention of that name, Caraline unconsciously held her racing heart.
