Chapter 6

Anita woke up in the morning and she stretch her

hand and yawn, she atood up and she step out of

the room, she looks around and she saw the farmer

working in the farm and she walks towards to

them and she ask.

" Good morning! Can I help?" Anita ask and she

shine her teeth to them and one of the staff said.

" Of course you can help "

" he says and Anita picked

up the shovel and she walk in to the farm and she

started working.

Few minutes later Aunt Kemi walks in and she

walks to the room she ask Anita to sleep, she did

not see her and she gets worried and she turned

back and she saw Anita working in the farm and

she smiles and gets happy and she work closer to

the her and Anita noticed her and she drop the

shovel and she walks her and she greets aunt Kemi.

" Good morning ma!" Anita says.

" Good morning, I can see you are already wrong in

the farm, you should worry I will speak to boss

once he come you can go to work" Aunt Kemi says

and she called Anita back. " Yes ma

" Anita says.

" Tell me what did you eat last night ?" aunt Kemi

ask.

" Nothing ma bit do not worry about me, I will be

fine" Anita says.

" I will git you food before boss comes" Aunt Kemi

says and Anita go back to what she was doing.

Back in the village, Anita's aunt woke up and she

walks out of the living room and she stood outside

and she saw her friend coming.

" Good morning! Why are you here so early in the

morning?" Anita's aunt ask.

" I am worried about you so I came to check on and

I do not what will happen to the if the old didn't see

Anita" her friend says.

"I will only tell him the truth the only thing he will

do is that he will shout and shout and when he is

done he will leave, it just that I will be so humiliated

in this village just because of that silly for called

Anita" Anita's aunt says.

"I will stay here with you will the old man comes

maybe I can try to explain things to him" her friends says and they both stood outside waiting and

Anita's aunt still worried.

Back in lagos Tolu drive in to the farm in his car, he

park his car and he went down of his car and he

walk to the office and he picked up some files and

he rushes out of his office and check his farm and

he met the staffs working in the farm and he was

about to leave and aunt Kemi stop him and she ran

to meet him.

" Good morning Sir!

" aunt Kemi says.

" Good morning! Please speak I have an important

meeting to attend to this morning" Tolu says and

Aunt Kemi called Anita, come, she left what she

was doing and she rushed to aunt Kemi and she

saw Tolu and she gets shocked and quickly turn

back, Tolu noticed and he gets surprised.

" Who is she and why is she hiding her face from

me when she saw me?"Tolu ask.

"Ehn. Sir.she is new here and she needs a job and

she hard working she has been working in the farm

since morning she will be very useful for this farm

sir" Aun Kemi says and Anita is still backing Tolu.

" But I can't see her face

" Tolu says. " Anita! This is our boss you should greet him, you

should not be shy" Aunt Kemi says and Anita is still

backing Tolu.

" I do not have time I need to attend an important

meeting" Tolu says and was about to go and Aunty

Kemy stop him.

" Sorry sir, she must shy'

" Aunty Kemi says and she

ask Anita and whispered I her ear.

" What is wrong with you don't you need this work

again" Aunty Kemi says and Anita turn to face Tolu

and head face down.

" Good morning sir!" Anita says and Tolu lift her

head up with his two fingers and Tolu saw her and

he gets shocked and he remembered she was the

one that stain his cloth.

" Youu.

" Tolu says and Anita shine her teeth and

she raise one finger up and said.

"Yes,me sir. Good morning sir

" Anita says still

shining her teeth.

" She can't work here, I am sorry but you can't work

in my farm " Tolu says and Anita gets sad.

" Buut why sir. Did you guys know each other before?" Aunt Kemi ask.

" Never mind but she can't work in my farm" Tolu

says and Anita with her teary eyes could not speak

as she remembered that she was rude to him.

" Sir, she is a very hard working for but its seems

you both know each other already " Aunt Kemi says

and Tolu yells.

" Why don't you ask? See I respect you a lot

because of your age please do not cross

boundaries, she can't work here and that's is final

Tolu says and was about to and Anita rushed to his

front and she stop him with tears in her eyes.

" Please leave my way or I will ask he security man

to throw you out of here'

" Tolu says and Anita

gonna kneels.

" Please, I am sorry I know that I have offended you

and I spoke to the you in a rude way and bad way

yesterday, I know that spray to you in a bad manner

but please forgive me I need this job, please sir, I

sorry about yesterday too you can even give me

cloth I will wash them you can even punsishe but

please give this job" Anita says weeping and Tolu

pity on her and he check his time.

" I need to go for a meeting, I will pass by when coming back from meeting then I will make my

decision" Tolu says and he left in his car.
