Chapter 5

Aunt Kemi walk back in and she look back and she as Anita sitting in the ground weeping and she pity her and she thinks in her mind.“ What if she really needs help beside she is just a young girl but can she work as a farmer even though I help speak to the boss, Aunt Kemi says and she walk back outside to meet Anita.

“ What is your name young lady” aunt Kemi says and Anita quickly stood up from the floor and she answered.

“ My name is Anita ma” Anita says.

“Why can't you go back home?” Aunt Kemi says.

“ It's a long story ma'am, I am coming from the village from Enugu and I do not have anyone here in Lagos and I met your nephew and he directed me to your place here” Anita says weeping.

“ Did you ran away from home?” she ask and Anita get shocked.

“ If you give me a chance I will explain the whole story to you ma” Anita says weeping.

“ I am only helping you because I also have a young dauilike you and I do not where else she can need help if it tomorrow I will help you speak to the boss and I will try and convince him” Aunt Kemi says and Anita gets happy and she kneel down and thank her.

“ Thank you ma'am, I so much appreciated your help and your consideration “ Anita says abs she wipe her tears.

“ You should go back home and come back tomorrow morning by 8 a.m “ Aunt Kemi says and Anita looks sad as she has no where to go or sleep for the night and Aunt Kemi was about to go and Anit quickly stop her.

“ Do the farmers also sleep here?” Anita ask.

“ Some of them do sleep here but they men as for me now I am going back home now because this 6 p.m already by the way why do you ask” Aunt Kemi ask.

“ I do not have anywhere to sleep and go this evening “ Anita says and aunt Kemi gets stoked and she ask.

“ Where have you been staying you came to Lagos?” Aunt Kemi ask.

“ I have been staying on the street and sleeping ok the street “ Anita says and aunt Kemi gets more shocked.

“ Alright, I will speak to one of the staff maybe there will be a space for you to spend the night for this night, come with me “ Aunt Kemi says and Anita gets happy and she followed Aunt Kemi.

Aunt Kemi speak with staff and they gave Anita a little space to sleep for the inside a small darkroom and aunt Kemi took her to the small dark room and she gave her a candle to light there for the night.

“ Thank you ma, I really appreciate “ Anita says.

“ Make sure, you should not cause any trouble or fight with anyone till tomorrow, I will be here by 8 a.m in the morning and boss will be here by 9 a.m or 10 a.m, I will go now “ Aunt Kemi says.

“ Good night ma” Anita says and aunt Kemi left.

Anita gets exited as she is free from her aunt’s trouble she smiled and she remembered she has not call Tunde but she doesn't have any phone to call him.

“ I will give him a call tomorrow once aunt Kemi come back tomorrow morning, I will just have to sleep and enjoy my night finlay free from my aunty, I know that she will be worried about tomorrow by now, only she will face the humiliation tomorrow” Anita says and she smiled.

Back in the village Anita’s aunt weep and thinking of what to tell the old man when he comes tomorrow” just some few hours left and we will be in the next day, I need to think of a lie real quick or should I run away from home for a while,no but where will I go how da can run “ Anita’s aunt sats speaking to herself.

“ I will just have to tell him the truth that is all, he should do his worst I have nothing to give him back” Anita’s aunt says.

Tolu work on his apple laptop in his room and his mum knocked on the door and he ask her to come in.

“ Why are you not downstairs for dinner we are all waiting for you “ his mum says.

“ Mum! I need to work on this real quick now” Tolu says.

“ I asked the maid to come call you and you refuse and I come to your room to call and you still refuse will yoistill refuse if your dad come upstairs to call you can do this at the office tomorrow in the farm, you should come downstairs and eat then you rest” his mum says and Tolu smile and he close his laptop and he followed his mum downstairs to the dining.

Tolu join his father, his mum and his two siblings his younger brother Emmanuel and his younger sister Esther and the maid serve the food and they eat.

“ Are you prepared for tomorrow's meeting with her partners tomorrow “ his father says.

“ Yes dad, I am but I will have to viste the farm tomorrow first before heading to the company”Tolu says.

“ I do not want you be late for the meeting tomorrow” his father says.

“ You do not have to worry dad, I will listen the farm early tomorrow by 8 a.m before heading to my office “ Tolu says and he continued eating.

It's the next morning and Tolu dresses up and he checks his time and sees it's 7:30 a.m step out of his room, he rushed downstairs and he was about to go out and his mum stops him.

“ Good morning Tolu! You have taken your breakfast” his mum says.

“ Yes mum, I know but I am getting late I news to get going now I need to visit my farm this morning before going to the office,” Tolu says and his father met and tells him not to be late for the meeting and he nods and said “ yes” he rushed to his car and enters and drove off.
