Chapter 6

Siddharth's POV

I was enjoying the food so much and said, " Wow yaar Maurvi, you know you are amazing. The food is awesome, I wish I could eat this kind of food every day. Right bhai? " I teased him as he was very quiet. 

" Hmmm. " He said.

" You know, I decided to come home but I was not very happy as mom and dad are not here so I was a bit sad. I was also missing the home-cooked food. But you made such a nice dinner for me. Can I kiss your hands, please? " I said to get a reaction out of my elder brother and I got more than a reaction. His both eyes almost came out of his sockets.

" For us... she cooked for all three of us, not for you... And she cooks amazing food for me every day. Most important thing is that... NO !!! You can't kiss her hand. " He glared at me.

Oh, so I was right... I just ignored his glare.

" What is wrong with you bhai? You eat your food, I am talking to her and you keep jumping in our conversation. " I said to him.

He seemed to be giving me a warning without saying anything. But I was enjoying it a lot.

" I would give anything to have food like every day. Can you cook for me forever? "

Bhai was getting red. I knew that look. I was sure, he would have punched me at least twice by now.

" I will open a restaurant you can come and eat there every day. " Maurvi said sweetly. She was so cute, didn't even realise that I was flirting with her.

" I mean Maurvi, you are a very beautiful girl who can cook like a professional... This makes you the most eligible girl in the whole country. Will you marry me? " Finally I said it and I stole a glance at my brother.

His both eyes almost came out of his skull and his jaw touched the floor.

" NO !!! " He said very quickly.

" What the hell is your problem?? I am not proposing to you. Are you her Personal Assistant? "

" No, but I am her boyfriend. " He said calmly.

Yes!!! I knew something was going on but boyfriend??? I didn't think it had reached that far.

" What?? When did that happen?? " Iralmost shouted and looked at him and then at her. She just closed her eyes.

" You are kidding right??? " I asked Bhai. 

" No, she is my girlfriend. You can ask her or any of my friends. " He said with a smile. Maurvi was blushing and I was amazed to see that she did not deny it.

It was so good. I was really happy for them but I had to tease him. He has been a boxing champion so I could never win a fight with him but teasing him has been my favourite thing.

Though he was extremely smart as well, I got a few chances to tease him and this was a golden opportunity.

" When did this happen? This is not fair Maurvi, how could you do that? " I said pouting and she smiled.

" Did you tell mom and dad? " I asked him.

" No, but I will ... "

" Come on yaar Maurvi, I think you got confused and selected him in my place. " I said and bhai was shocked.

Oh God!! He looked shocked. Why ?? What did I say?? It was such a sweet and innocent flirting, I was just teasing.

" Maurvi tell him he is just like your brother. " He said to her and she smiled. She didn't say anything.

He was behaving like an obsessed man. What happened to him?? He was not behaving his usual self.

" I will get a rakhi, tie it on his hand. " He said.

" What ?? Why?? What nonsense are you talking bhai? " I was shocked.

" Shut up and stay put or today I will practice boxing, treating you as my punching bag. " He said and went to our home to get a rakhi.

What was going on??

He even bought a rakhi???

" What was that?? " I asked her but she just smiled and shrugged her shoulders.

She didn't say anything but she could not control her smile. I don't know what was she thinking but she was smiling like anything.

" Oh God, what is wrong with him? It seems, he is totally whipped. He is over possessive about you. That's why he got irritated when I asked you to be my model and when I asked if I could kiss your hand or marry me. He is crazy about you." I said and hugged her lightly.

" I am happy for both of you. But what is this thing about rakhi? " I was very curious to know so asked her and she burst out laughing.

Before she could tell me anything, bhai came with a rakhi in his hand.

" Sid, remove your hands from her. Stop hugging my girlfriend. Now tie this rakhi on his hand, Maurvi. " He said but it seemed she was lost in her thoughts and was still smiling.

" What are you thinking? Come on, do the needful. " He was getting restless.

" But... " I started saying but he stopped me in mid-sentence.

" Shut up and don't move. Maurvi will you do it? "

" But how can I... "

" Why, what is the problem? "

" N- nothing... I was just saying... "

" Then do it... " He was adamant. Maurvi could not control her laughter any more and burst out laughing. He kept on looking at her. Even I was confused.

" Are you mocking me? I found him right? I won the challenge now tie this and full fill your side of the deal... "

What was going on??

" I don't mind tying it on his hand but let me tell you, he is not the one... " She kept laughing.

" He is not? " He asked and she said no.

" Hey, hello... I am also present here. Will both of you please tell me what is going on? " I asked as I was totally confused. But they both ignored me.

" Ok, enough of this nonsense Maurvi... I am sick of it. Now I want to know, who is he? What is your problem? Why can't you tell me his name? Either you tell me his name or I swear... "

" No first you tell me what the hell is going on here? " I asked him.

" My girlfriend has had a crush on someone for a few years and I want to know his name. Is that ok? You got your answers?? Now, don't you think I need answers too? I deserve to know? " He asked me and then looked at her with his eyebrows raised.

Bhai looked angry. He went very close to her as if he was trying to intimidate her. She was a bit alarmed and took a few steps back. He kept going towards her. Her back touched the wall.

" Stop Gautam !!! Siddharth, please tell him. "

" Bhai... " I tried to help her.

" Stay out of it, Sid. " He glared at me.

He was really adamant to know. She looked at me with pleading eyes but I just shrugged.

" Ok, I will... But on few conditions. " She said.

" Really ?? And what are those? " He looked surprised.

Her conditions were a bit weird but funny.

"Are you serious? Why do you think I will do that? " Bhai said.

" Do you want to know or not? If you want to know, then you have to. " She said with a smile.

Oh God!!! They looked cute fighting like kids. But I wanted to know what was the name of that person.

" Give money to Siddharth and he will see that you don't do any cheating. Siddharth, listen I swear, I have already won. I will give you a treat with the money. Just see that he follows all the conditions." She smiled.

" Yeah, sure but I prefer the food cooked by you. " I said with a smile.

" Ok, I will cook whatever you want. " She said sweetly and smiled at me while Bhai glared at me which I ignored as usual.

" You trust him more than you trust me? " He looked hurt but I couldn't help smiling. He is so cute when he gets angry with jealousy. She was smiling too.

" Do you think this is funny Maurvi? Let me tell you, I am very serious. So don't play games. "

" I am not playing games, I am playing safe. Please step back and go on the other side of the table. " She said. What was going on??
