Chapter 19: Reece Is Back

Rose's Pov:

I'm on my way back through town too in shock to put any words together, my hands still shaking with my encounter with Jace, I needed to get home without having an accident so I just breathed in and out.

"Okay Rose you can deal with this you've dealt with worse before it's nothing everything's perfect," I say out loud trying to reassure myself but everything was way far from perfect my mother was away and I needed her but I knew if I told her about this encounter she would just get worried and use the money to hold them off like she always did to protect me ever since father died and I didn't want to do that to her.
