Arrived

“Not going to say anything? Or you miss me already?” Landon said with a smirk, knowing the person on the other side still wouldn't see it.

“What's the update?” Came the curt response.

“Always so serious.” Landon rolled his eyes. “I got her hair.” He responded.

“When will it arrive?”

“I'll be coming down with her tomorrow.” He lowered his tone on seeing Iris stir on the bed. “I need to go now. See you soon.” The line clicked dead.

Landon pocketed the phone and placed her tablet back on the nightstand.

He turned back to the bed, where Iris was still sound asleep, unaware, of the conversation they had just had.

With a deep sigh, he crawled back on the bed, wrapping an arm around her, holding her tight in place. Just as she started stirring in her sleep again, he placed a small kiss on the crown of her head, and closed his eyes, falling to sleep too.
