Brave…
“Sammy Hoffman William…”
“Yes my dear husband?” she laughed softly looking directly into his eyes before her eyes becomes serious again.
“Hear me well Sammy, I want to be your solid rock of trust, confidence and safety. Allow me to know your heart and mind as intimately as I know your body. You are right my love, we should talk about our family and our individual past but for today I want to give you a perfect day like the nights you had given so boldly and beautifully.”
“It certainly can be arranged,” the somber look is slowly replaced with the now known mischievous twinkle in her soft brown eyes.
Peter found himself falling continuously into the wealth of her eyes. His mouth claims her teasing lips into a devouring kiss that drives them both sensually towards the play field of ecstasy. Pulling her tightly against the framework of his body the pleasurable intent clear on both their part but the insistent ringing of the phone manage to halt them both. With clear annoyance and still holding her against him he answers the call.
Sammy stays leaning against his chest listening to the beating of his heart. The sound gives her such a sense of safety. Placing her hand across his chest she smiles for the still continuing whirlpool of loving.
Her instinct about impending darkness makes the odd notion takes root within her that she shouldn’t step from the hotel. The gloomy thought settles quickly with a tight grip around her heart. She instinctively senses the fear just behind the door.
Peter finishes his conversation finding her clutching his robe tightly her knuckles white her eyes at the door holding her in a hypnotize state.
“What’s wrong my love?”
Sammy swallows several times to gulp down the knot in her throat.
“I am being silly,”
“I don’t care. What worries you beyond the door?”
Her hand reaches up to caress his stubble cheek trying her best to removes the darkness from her eyes. He is no fool reading the fear and worry.
“You will always be safe with me Sammy.”
“I know that from the first moment. I want to tell you about my life but let’s enjoy the day you have planned. Tomorrow is still there. Go and shower.”
“Join me,” he suggest with a sexy wink.
“This day won’t see the sight of us if I do and you know that.”
Sammy found her back in front of the mirror. There seem to be a strange allure about her reflection. She has the odd notion there is something she is forgetting…
She suddenly reached for the phone and dialed a number that just popped into her conscious mind.
“Hello it’s me,”
“Where are you?” the man instantly questions.
“It’s currently not important.” She said evasive.
“Ok at least tell me are you safe?”
“Yes, for now but I senses something and someone chased me earlier. I don’t know why?”
“Sammy is you safe where you are now?”
“Yes,” her fingers turns white with the strength she was holding the receiver of the phone.
“Sammy do you remember what I told you?”
“Could you be more precise?”
“It’s about movement…” he visible paused waiting for her.
“Do you mean about life constantly moving. That I should accept that certain things will never be the same again.”
“Yes, Sammy. Life goes on especially when things are trying. You know what I like to say, if you can’t changed it with talking just moves within the stream.”
“I remember that is why I choose reality and staying positive.”
“Sammy…it sounded like you are in a way happy. Do you want to tell me?”
“Not now as I am afraid I might lose the feelings.” This knowledge suddenly makes her frown heavily.
“May I ask if a man is in involved?”
“Definitely,” she said with sudden happiness in her voice.
“I am very happy Sammy. Now girl, remember never to apologize for being happy or sensitive or emotional. Showing your true colors to another person is your very sign of strength.”
“I should stop driving myself crazy trying to understand. I must accept that sometimes things happen for a reason.” She said to her reflection.
Cast within the reflection of the mirror she sees the distorted face of a man she can’t place. Behind his looming figure she sees a ball of fire and she can swear she hears screaming and crying. Closing her eyes she finds a cold finger caressing her spine making her look slowly towards the door hoping against all logic that Peter would return and not leave her alone.
The mirror pulls her back to face her own image. For a spell bound moment she simply looks at herself. Married to Peter makes her think she is beautiful but instinctively though she has the remembered sense she is in her mind basically just an ordinary person who became extraordinary. The reason for this transformation is the man who put his rings of trust onto her finger. Her heart fills with continuous joy knowing someone loves her as much as she loves him.
Tomorrow would be the revealing of family and them as every day persons with individual personalities. Still looking at herself the somberness just won’t stay hidden behind her eyelids. She furthermore has the insistent feeling she was forgetting something important. The phone call didn’t give the answers she was looking for and it somehow seemed wrong to question him. What however is the question that is starting to eat inside her mind?
Looking intensely at her reflection she tries searching for the question that will hopefully reveal the answer. Her own eyes studies her profile seeing a slender woman with shoulder length auburn hair, surprisingly sexy eyelashes, a petite nose and full sensual lips.
A knock on the door makes her turn away from the mirror and her reflection. Uncertain she goes to open the door. The smiling obviously curious courier handed her the beloved and well-travelled rucksack along with a beautiful evening gown. With a wink and suggestive look the man turns and walks down the corridor.
Alone in the suite she opened the accompany letter, the first from her husband.
“My love against all logic or reason I had just liked you known your beautiful face long before I knew what name to write onto my heart. My whole life I was searching until the day I found you. First you were my fantasy but now achingly beautiful you are my reality. Love you, choose how you want to dress this day, the evening is all mine. The gown is a glimpse of what is to come. Remember though always your wishes come first. Hurry…”
Sammy removes her rings and carefully along with the letter places them beside the telephone. She steps from the bathrobe her body moving gracefully with a clear sensuality towards the bathroom.
Sammy opens the bathroom with a smile full of anticipation for what was to come and in eagerness to see her husband. She heard a buzzing sound and the immediate instinct of danger.
Thinking it a bee she swipe around the air but the small missile hit its mark just below her ear. She sees him stepping from behind the curtains come towards her purposefully.
Trying to open her mouth to scream but no sound escape her lips but darkness settles around her, she slips and hit her head against the wall.
Just before darkness took hold of her completely the vivid picture flashes in front of her mind’s eyes…a child playing with boys then riding her bicycle fast. Sometimes she runs bare feet and was dressed in baggy clothes. The picture shows a blanket of beautiful flowers. Unconsciousness settles immediately over her.
Completely unaware the person with her steps past her to retrieve the small needle from her neck leaving the suite.
Sammy opens her eyes the warm sun caressing her nakedness. Her eyes blinks several times hurting and feeling bleary. It takes a couple of minutes to adjust her eyes to the brightness of the bedroom.
The moment it dawn on her that she is actually naked, she scramble into a sitting position her back flatten against the wall her legs pull up beneath her chin. Wide-eye she look around her. The dull headache is mean and insistent making its presence known.
Sitting motionless while confusion is eating a hole in her; she can’t for the life of her comprehend how she ended up there. A vague memory slips past making her recall faintly the last time her action were her climbing from the airplane walking towards the exit. Everything else is a blank her uncertainty growing not knowing how she ended up in this expensive hotel suite. Her hurtful eyes studies everything around her but nothing seems familiar.
The longer she looks at the suite it is clear someone occupies it. She notices a tie that clearly belongs to a man. This notion frightens her into bolting up right. Her trusted rucksack catches her attention. Moving closer she picks it up and dump the contents on the bed.
Fearful of being caught where she didn’t belonged she survey the suite still nothing seems familiar. The only thing she knows is her rucksack but now looking at the contents even that seems unfamiliar. Confusion mingles with fear building rapidly inside her.
Sammy dress quickly in clothes she didn’t recognize but fit her like a glove. The rest of the contents she stuff back into the rucksack.
“I don’t know who I am.” She whispered fearfully. “I think its best me becoming invisible. I need to vanish from this very expensive room,”
Reaching for the door the words comes floating to her mind but fear drove understanding away.
“I am in love with your smile…the way the corners of your lips curve…”
She has no plan in mind just reacting on instinct, she walks towards the door in the corridor she searches for an exit but somehow find her in the reception area. A friendly man approach her with a smile, instead of waiting to hear what he might say she simply bolted from the hotel. She simply runs wandering the streets of Cape Town aimlessly.
The people around her were just a blur of many faces. She keeps walking searching for something but she doesn’t know precisely what is missing. She is driven with the urge to continued searching.
Kismet…Rings of Truth Sammy opened her eyes. The briefest moment everything was pitch black. It felt like she was in a coiling tumble of deception. Her only decent a downward spiral. She felt trapped in a kind of fantasy but it might be her reality. She blinked her eyes in the hope of finding light. Like magic the darkness was replaced by the enlightening casting of a blazing inferno, flames danced around her, leaving the sense of sexual electricity but in the same time the reality of a real fire. She stood within the circle of her continuous tumbling fall. Fear should be part of her reality since she stood within the embrace of dancing flames. It was like she was fascinated by something the flames were writing for her eyes. The flames formed two circles but for the moment the meaning eluded her. She felt her fingers burning but when she looked it was like she must forget what there should be. Instead a name a name was given to her. “Peter,” with the name come desire, sacrifice. Th
Flight of Fight“Run Sammy!” Peter yelled while he shared punch for punch with a very furious Victor Jensen. It was quickly clear that her presence was a distraction for her husband. Turning she start to run down the length of the beach. Her very actions were over familiar. Like so many months ago she heard the approaching helicopter again.“Sammy, stop,” called the voice from behind her.She stopped a moment to see who was calling behind her. She saw him storming towards her but something about him brought forth a flash of long forgotten memories…She saw herself as a very lonely child, her brother just buried. She blinked her eyes, her memories clouded within the fogginess of darkness. She feels the fingers of fear crawling over her skin.“Sammy, wait for me,” called the voice again. She knew somewhere within herself she should move but it still feels like she was playing in her own movie. The fear was now crawling through her heart, showing her she must hide away.“No, I refuse,” s
UncertaintySammy realized again fear her master of her constant behavior, could it be that it blinded her to something about Victor she apparently has missed but somehow instinctively was already reacting too. Maybe she should ask Peter about her reactions. This was his chosen profession apart from being a business man in their shared company. He must have an insight into her victim’s behavior.Stepping from the shower she wrapped a big fluffy towel around her frame then another around her head. Opening the door leading into the bedroom she found him in another corner going over the files she brought along. He had produce a laptop on which he was typing on seriously until he was aware of her again.“Peter…” she hesitate. He looked up at her his face serious. “Is something wrong?”“I have a question but I am not sure how to phrase it.” She bites her lower lip.“Just ask any way
Rising infernoSammy feels the rising inferno within her heart building. She just stood there but was no longer looking at them. Her mind was like a blaze debating her options as to what she wants to do. She felt like a woman used and discard like yesterdays entertainment section. The moment he convinced her she can trust him this woman obviously showing her claim. While still looking internally wondering if she should attack both and give this strange people entertainment or she simply very carefully closes the door. The words formed in her mind, come to think about it now, did he simply used that incident of the bomb as a way out of their affair? Her brown eyes dark with fury lifted again searching for the man who owned her body and her soul, finding him smiling along with the witch besides him. Earlier his smile with her was intimate telling silently of the passion they shared last night. What did he share with lady lethal?“Well Sammy, what will the path?” she whispered very softl
Flames of Desire“Peter…” she feels the burning flames of desire coursing through her.“Patience, my love we have waited a long time.”His hand moved away from her panty barrier slipping across the curve of her hips moving beneath her back flipping her over while he landed on his back.Sammy moved on top to straddle his waist, grinning down at him. Looking into his eyes she saw an emotion that filled her whole being. Trust versus lust, leaning forward she kissed him gently probing carefully before exploring the depths of his mouth.Peter deepened the kiss while his hands was moving up and down her back letting her know she was the one setting the pace. He felt her body shifting before he caught another one of her surprise breathes.“You certainly are ready for action,” she whispered close to his ear before nipping on his earlobe. She feels his grin against her neck.“Take the j
Counting minutesSammy counted the minutes wondering where Pete went. A thought occur to her making her get up onto the feet. It was suddenly important to her that he not think she was a cowed little girl when trouble strikes. She had seen the type of woman he works with, she discovered a jealous streak.Searching for the object that went through the window she found it partly hidden beneath the corner table. Something was attached to it looking at it while considering if she should touch it. Whatever it was the thing seems all wrong too. At first glance it look like a brick but the more she studied it the material seemed too soft almost like clay. On pure instinct she moved. She took a bee line for the opened door. She practically runs a returning Peter of his feet just as the little bang went off. Together they went tumbling before stopping at last on the last step. She was wrapped tightly in his arms their heart beats irregular. Both heard an engine
