FAZER LOGINNoelle’s POV
Things weren’t as simple as I thought. Firstly, I hadn’t seen Dante much since I started working here. That was leaving me with the silent Lucien, the overbearing Adrien and the flirty Kael. Lucien’s looks were to die for. I might hate men but that didn’t mean I couldn’t admire heaven’s creation. Adrien’s cold nature made him hard to approach. Plus the fact that he had recently made me the head secretary which meant I had to attend to him first before the others. I accepted the work of a consultant. An analyst. I never expected I had to pander to the needs of two needy asses. Lucien had asked for me only once in the past month. And that was because he needed a copy of the encrypted information he needed. I had happened to glance through it and figured I was better left in the dark. The codes were all jumbled and caused a strain on my brain. I hated whatever would make me stress my brain. Currently, I was trying to make the fifth cup of coffee for Adrien. Seems like Mr Velrose has sworn to make my life a living hell. I was his consultant. In other words, his right hand woman. I was to be by his side during meetings, checking out all contracts before he penned down his signature. And here I was, running errands like a mere secretary. Such insolence. “Well well well, what do we have here?” Kael walked casually as he rested his body on the coffee machine while looking at me, clearly using his height to his advantage. Another common factor between all four men. They were all freakishly tall. I didn’t even reach any of their shoulders which made me always tilt my head upwards to look at every one of them. “How may I help you Mr Sorren?” “I don’t know. Why don’t you tell me how you can be of help?” The actual fuck?!!! “I don’t seem to understand what you are saying Sir. Now if you would excuse me?” I picked up the cup as well as every other thing I had come over there with. But typical playboys doing their playboy activities… He blocked my path with a cocky smile all over his face. Then he took the cup from my hands. “Go on. I was about to meet him anywhere. I can help you drop it off” That was a good idea. At least he wouldn’t reject the coffee again if Kael was the one to hand it over to him. But the problem was, he was looking for a way to fire me. And I will be damned if I gave him an opportunity to do such. “As laid back as and easy to do as that sounds, I don’t want to lose my job over a cup of coffee” With that said, I took back the cup of coffee and walked away only to be stopped by Kael’s snicker. “Lose your job? Baby you don’t know, don’t you?” Now that seemed to keep me rooted in place. Was there some private discussion about me that had seemed to elude me at some point and I wasn’t aware of it? “What are you talking about Mr Sorren?” “After you left, Dante added a very stipulating cause to the contract” Is that even legal? Adding a clause to an already previewed and signed document. I was about to flip as usual because it literally made no sense. But then I heard the second part of his statement. “No one can fire you individually even though you are to tend to Adrian more. It has to be a decision four of us take together” “I’m lost” “It means he cannot fire you. None of us can. The only way you get to be fired is if we all agree. In a deeper context, if three people decide to get you fired and one opposes then you stay. I hope it’s much clearer now” I couldn’t believe it. I knew this was too good to be true but I couldn’t help but feel better. That meant I would still be here. Regardless of whatever method Adrian wanted to pull. The coffee in my hand had long gone cold so I had to make a new one. I thanked Kael for the insight and walked off. Straight to Adrian’s office. I knocked lightly on the door and heard a gruff come in before I walked in. “So making a coffee takes forty five minutes? How fascinating it is to walk to the ends of the earth for a single cup of coffee” “I’m sorry for the delay Mr Velrose” “You do know that there are actual people who would kill to be in your position and here you are acting like a lost sheep. This makes me wonder if you were truly the mastermind behind the Sinclair empire” He snickered and heaven help me, I am doing my best not to lash out and give this man a dose of his medicine. A simple sleep tablet in his coffee wouldn’t hurt. He would fall asleep in a meeting and then I would get to hang it over his head for a long ass time. But no. I wouldn’t bring myself to stoop to his level. Even though I craved it. “Analyze the documents on your desk. They are needed for the next meeting we have. Also get prepared, we are going to London for an inspection and to Singapore to meet with their royal family. You are to be my plus one when we get there” “Don’t I have to arrange one of the noble ladies here to be your plus one Sir?” “YOU ARE GOING TO BE MY PLUS ONE. End of discussion. Now you are excused” He ignored my very existence and continued typing away on his laptop. I assumed he was basically rubbing it in my face that he was using the latest version of a MacBook. A laptop I craved to have. I humphed silently and walked out. The urge to slam the door was so strong but I chose etiquette and walked out calmly. I picked off the files he had sent to me and began looking through them. A normal person wouldn’t find fault in the reports. But I had a keen eye for stuff like this. The numbers were all scattered with no possible alignment. I stood up to take the documents back to Adrian when I saw the signature below the documents and it belonged to… “Lucien Kai!!” It seemed like I was bound to run into all of them at one point. I rang his office to know if he was around and received no reply. I wanted to call back when a call came into my phone. I checked and it was a private number but I wasn’t in the mood to answer any personal calls since I was at work. I tried calling the line again but this time it ended abruptly and the unknown caller called me once again. Weird. I picked my call this time and an unexpected voice rang out. “Why are you calling my office?” I brought the phone away from my ear and placed it back once more. Just to be sure I heard Lucien’s voice clearly. “Mr Kai” “I’m pretty sure you already know my voice” It really was him. Welp.Noelle’s POVWelp. I might have stumbled on uncharted territory.“Are you suddenly mute?”His voice rang out once more, drawing me back to reality as I gulped. How he managed to get my main line would be a problem for another day as the document I held in my hand seemed to hold more weight and importance.“Sir there was a mistake in the reports bearing your signature”“Which of them?”“The London agreement. The digits also varies from the estimated budget assigned to the other contracts signed”“Then reprint it”“I know Sir. But it needs your signature”“And…”And!! Who the heck asks such an obvious question?“You need to be here to sign it, Sir. This is your work else I would have handed it over to Mr Sorren or Mr Velrose. But none of them are in charge of the London project”“And what about Moretti?”“Hasn’t been to the office in three days Sir”“Then sign it then”He just dropped a major bomb in such a nonchalant manner. That was an act of impersonation. Forgery of signature. I wou

Dante’s POV“What are we going to do about this? No one expected that Sinclair’s child would fall into our hands one day?” I watched Sorren fidget as he was this close to losing it. He was the youngest here and was the only one who didn’t hail from wealth but worked hard to make a name for himself. And for that I admired him. But for cases like this, it was truly unexpected.“What do you guys suggest? Only the four of us in the room know the actual truth” Velrose pitched in as he dropped the iPad in his hands. No doubt going through the numerous business plans already arranged for him.The perks of coming from old money I guess. Kai on the other hand refused to alter a single much more than a syllable. He had always been the silent one. But he wasn’t to be trifled with.I, on the other hand, refused to reveal my resources. I rather remain the one person they could never read no matter what.Which brought me to today’s issue; Noelle Sinclair. I had actually known of her existence a l
Noelle’s POV‘Oh shit. Oh shit’I screamed internally as I dramatically dropped my iPad on the bed. I had gone up against the four power houses in the entire country. Probably the entire world.I had challenged them verbally and walked away unscathed. This was truly a dream come true. A huge dream came true. I calmed myself down and picked up my iPad again. Adrian Velrose, Dante Moretti, Kael Sorren and Lucien Kai.Adrien came from old money and commanded a lot of connections. He could raise or destroy any company with just the snap of his fingers.Kael was more of a cold yet a playboy CEO. He built his company and legacy himself. And though he isn’t up to Adrien’s standard yet, he is pretty close by.Lucien was mixed. And the perfect example of an anime character comes to life. I happened to have a crush on him back in high school when I had come across one of the magazines showing one of his latest gadgets back then.Dante was the only one whose wealth and status was hidden from the
Noelle’s POV“Shit”That’s the first line that comes into your head when you walk into a boardroom full of men and you are pretty sure you are in no way supposed to be here.I had woken up this morning pumped to sign a business deal that would push me one inch closer to everything I ever dreamed of acquiring.Clearing our debts, my mother, my fathers mausoleum and finally relocating to a better abode. Now tell me why would an interview room for the position of an assistant be filled with four pairs of icy eyes and other men cowering in front of them.I dared myself to get a closer look as I finally took in their faces. I had seen them on the cover of a business magazine once. But I couldn’t remember their names.I quietly avoided everyone’s stares as I turned to leave the room as softly as I had entered.“Stand back right there”A cold voice sounded as I felt a wave of goosebumps wash over me.‘It’s not you. It’s not you. It’s not you’ I sang this as a mantra as I tried opening the do
