Honey.

He smirked.

I wasn't aware I had just stepped into the lion's den. The lion was secretly waiting in the dark, but I went into the darkness like a lost sheep.

"Alright, I will give you a ride." He said.

I uttered a sigh of relief as we drove out of the parking lot. The stalker wasn't in sight so I guess he left. I told him my destination.

I smiled at my savior. "Thank you."

He shrugged, his eyes concentrating on the road. "I haven't done anything yet."

I grinned. "Of course you did. You saved me."

He smirked and his eyes kind of darkened. "I didn't save you, I just prevented you from being taken."

"That's the same thing as saving me." I pointed out.

He was trying to let me know he wasn't my savior and I was blind by his disguise of kindness that I didn't realize that the whole stalking thing might just be a way to make me come to him.

I relaxed in my seat. "You probably know that I'm a singer, right?"

He shook his head. "No, I don't."

I sat up and looked at him, surprised. I thought I was gaining more popularity after airing my latest album, fatherhood. I mean some of the songs in the album have more than 10 Millions views on youtube and it was displayed on a lot of billboards from all over the world.

I blinked my eyes trying to understand how he doesn't know me. At the very least, he could have seen me on TV.

"You don't know me?" I asked again.

He frowned and looked at me. "Am I meant to know you?"

I pouted. I was used to being recognized so it felt strange that he didn't know me. "Well, it's not like you are meant to, but I was thinking you might have seen my pictures somewhere. Maybe on magazines, billboards, television, or even on social media."

"I don't have time for any of those." He said coldly.

I nodded. "Okay. I have a concert in New York coming up on Saturday night. I will be glad if you can come."

I unzipped my handbag and brought out a plastic ticket. I stretched it towards him. "This is a ticket to the concert, you can accept it as an act of gratitude."

He glanced at the ticket. "I can't accept it."

"Why?"

"I'm always busy on Saturdays."

"It doesn't matter, just take it. If you have some spare time then you can come and check on me," I insisted.

He hummed, took the ticket from my hands, and kept it in one of the drawers of his car.

He stopped the car before my music studio and looked at me. "This is the place, right?"

I nodded and stretched out to open the door of the car. I paused and looked at him. I might never have crossed paths with him, but I wanted us to meet again so I asked for his phone number.

He looked at me, surprised. "You want my number?"

I nodded. "Yeah, I want to get to know you."

If I knew who he truly was, I wouldn’t have wanted to know him. I would have run away from him the moment I bumped into him in the hallway of the shoe store. If I knew what he had done to my family… if I knew he was more dangerous than my stalker… If I knew he was after me, I would have hated him with all my gut and wouldn’t have asked for his number.

If only I knew.

  • Knots & Tie    Escaping From Michael.

Honey. I didn’t say anything and just kept lying there. Hoping that everything would end soon. Just as Michael lowered his head to my neck, his phone started to ring. He groaned as he reached for his phone in his pocket. He looked at the caller and groaned again. To my relief, he got down from the bed and looked at me. “Stay right there,” he said. “I will be right back.”With that, he picked up the call.“What’s up?” He asked, walking out of the room.I uttered a sigh of relief at finally being alone in the room. Immediately he slammed the door, I got down from the bed and put back my gown. I ran my hand through my hair, in an attempt to smooth it before tiptoeing close to the door. This was my only chance to escape from here. I have to seize the moment. I leaned close to the door, trying to see if Michael was in the hallway. I heard nothing. Not even his movement. I opened the door slowly and peeked outside. Just as I had thought, there was nobody. I clenched my handbag as I walk

  • Knots & Tie    Let’s Not Do This.

Honey. I was taken to Michael’s room. I covered my mouth as I paced around the empty room. It wasn’t supposed to end like this. This was all wrong. How had I gone from finding my son to offering my body to Michael? The moment Michael’s men left, I rushed to the door and was about to push it open when it opened from outside. I froze as the door creaked open, and Michael walked inside with a mischievous smile. “Going somewhere?” he teased.“What did you do to Lorenzo?” I demanded.“Why are you asking?” he shot back. “I thought you didn’t care about him.”“He is still the father of my son,” I reminded him. Pursing his lips, Michael nodded, striding toward me. “Well, I suppose you could say that.”He was getting too close, invading my space. I stepped backward, trying to keep as much distance from him as possible. “So, did you tell him where Leo is?” I demanded.“Of course I did. We made a deal, didn’t we?” he asked, cornering me against the wall. My back hit the wall, and I stiffe

  • Knots & Tie    I Dare You.

Honey.I went back to my room and met the stylist waiting for me. In no time, they dressed me up and one of the yacht staff took me to the theater. I gripped my purse as I entered the theater and was surprised to see it almost empty. Given that there was a music show, I expected to see more people, but excluding the staff, Michael was the only audience. He sat in the front row, watching an Orchestra playing various musical instruments on the stage. Hearing my footsteps, he turned in my direction and smiled. He took in my outfit and flicked his finger at me. “I just knew you were going to pick this dress. It seems you and I might just happen to have the same taste.”The stylist had shown me five different dresses I could wear for the show. I had picked a blue flowing dress which was fastened around my waist. If I knew this was the dress Michael had expected me to choose, I would have gone for the boring black dress.“I have to admit,” I said, walking towards him. “You seem to know the

Honey. The chef had prepared the fish I had caught in different food varieties. I had sent instructions to the chef to exclude some dishes from having fish as I was a vegetarian. When the meal was served on a dining table, Micheal laughed as he watched me search for the dishes that didn't have any fish. “Aren’t you a funny one?” He asked. “You caught such a huge fish, but you wouldn’t even have a taste of it.” “I’m a vegetarian.” “I’m curious,” he expressed, leaning closer to me. “Why do you go fishing when you can't even eat fish?” I looked away from the dishes and focused my attention on him. “I might be a vegetarian, but my parents aren't. I used to help them hunt for fish. Besides that, fishing is a fun activity.” “So why don't you like fish?” “Because it is dead flesh?” Micheal laughed. “So you will eat an alive one?” I narrowed my eyes at him, knowing clearly that he was just pulling my legs. “Of course, I won’t eat an alive one.” He nodded. “Yeah, I know. I was just k

  • Knots & Tie    As Shameful As It Is

Honey. The next morning we had gone to meet Michael at his yacht. I saw him standing at the stairs of the yacht. He waved at me when he saw me and walked down from the stairs. “You look beautiful, sweetheart,” he said, assessing my outfits. I hadn't worn something complicated. I was wearing a simple floral dress and a beach hat to shield my face from the scorching sun. I adjusted the hat on my head and looked at the yacht by the harbour of the sea. It was magnificent and huge. Too huge. I could barely see the top of it. Seeing how big it was, I understood why Micheal was planning on spending the weekend in it. The yacht looked like a typical mansion. “Is this the yacht for vacation?” I asked, shocked that a yacht as big as that even existed. Michael turned back and nodded. “Yes, it is,” Michal smiled. “Don't worry, I have arranged a lot of things we could do together this weekend. Trust me, it will be fun.”Lorenzo looked around the harbour, his glance calculative. He had brought

  • Knots & Tie    The More The Merrier

Honey. We walked into the room and saw Michael sitting behind his desk. He smiled when he saw us and stood up. “Oh my gosh!” He gasped, walking towards us. “I can’t believe both of you decided to visit me!” He approached me and spread his arms wide open to hug me, but I stepped out of his way. He pouted when he noticed I wasn’t willing to hug him. “Oh come on, Honey,” he said. “It has been a long time since we met. Don’t you miss me at all?” I shook my hair, brushing my hair backward. “No, I don’t.” Micheal nodded and crossed his arms. “So why are you here if you don’t miss me?” “Let’s have our seat first,” Lorenzo said, pulling Honey behind him. Michael laughed, touching his chest. “How rude of me to keep you all standing,” he walked toward the couch at the center of his office and sat. Then he waved at the other vacant couch. “Have your seat.” Lorenzo and I sat down together. Michael rested his back on the couch and curled his hand under his chin before saying. “So what w
