Honey.

All through the drive back home, I didn't say anything. I was still shaken by Michael's death. Yes, I was glad he would no longer be a threat to me, but given that just some days ago, I had thought he was my husband, it made it a little difficult to take in his death.

The drive back home took approximately three hours before the car parked before a mansion. Immediately, I got the feeling of a deja vu and remembered the moment Michael had taken me to the Villa. Despite knowing that I was with the real Lorenzo, I still felt uneasy while standing before the mansion.

I observed the building and sighed. I have been there many times. I knew that for sure, I could feel it in my bones.

Lorenzo got out of the car and I looked at him. “Is this where we live?"

He frowned at my question and asked, “Why did you ask that?”

I blinked and looked away. It slipped my mind that Lorenzo had no idea that I had Amnesia. “Don’t pay attention to what I say. It is nothing.”

Lorenzo arched his brow a

Honey. We had gathered around the pool area for the wedding reception by sunset. Lots of tables were arranged around the area close to the pool. The few guests who had stayed behind for the reception gathered around the open space, engaging in different sorts of activities among each other. Amelia and her husband, Matteo, had just finished addressing the guests and the party looked like it was almost coming to an end. Matteo left Amelia’s side to have a private discussion with one of the guests. Since she was alone, she had spotted me standing close to the pool with a champagne glass in my hand.“Do you want to go for a swim?” She asked me the moment she got to me. I looked down at the flowing body of shimmering water and said with a sigh. “I would really love that, but I am not wearing a swimsuit.”Amelia shrugged. “You can change into one though."I scoffed and looked at Lorenzo who was talking with one of his men at the far end of the pool area. “You talk like you don't know how p

  • Knots & Tie    Who Caught The Bouquet.

Honey.I stood at the center of the living room and checked my wristwatch. It was almost time for the wedding and Amelia wasn’t ready. Initially, we were to be on our way to the wedding venue, but she just happened to remember that she forgot to take her bouquet along with her and had rushed back to the room to pick it up. Mind you, that was about twenty minutes ago. I looked at the staircase leading to her room and sighed. I mean, it shouldn't be that hard to pick up a bouquet. My best belief was that she must have forgotten it somewhere. The way things were going, if we didn't leave for the wedding, we might get there late. And I didn't want any of the guests to have the impression that the bride abandoned the groom at the altar.Deciding to help her find the bouquet, I climbed up the stairs and went straight to her room. I reached for the doorknob and turned it. “Amelia, it shouldn’t be taking you this long to find—“I forgot the rest of what I wanted to say when I saw Amelia ta

One year later.Honey.“Mom, are we going to pick them up from the airport now?” Leo asked, running down the stairs in his cute white shirt and blue shorts. “Leo be careful, you might fall from those stairs!” His nanny warned as he hurried down the stairs.Of course, Leo was too excited to listen to her. His grandparents and Aunt were coming to LA that day for his godmother’s wedding. He was beyond happy to meet them at the airport. “Don’t worry, Miss Nana.” I caught Leo in my arms as he reached the bottom of the stairwell and held his hand. “I got him already."Nana looked relieved to see that he hadn't fallen. “Thank goodness you were there to catch him on time.”I smiled and looked down at Leo. “You shouldn’t be running down the stairs. You might fall if you continue.”Leo gave me a full toothy smile, the one that showed he knew he was guilty as charged, but still wanted to use his cuteness to get away. “I am sorry, Mum.”I nodded and squatted before him. I straightened his shir

  • Knots & Tie    It Was Fate.

Honey.I had remained in my room all day. It wasn’t like Lorenzo forbade me from leaving; it was just that I was still trying to adjust to my new surroundings. And with all his men standing guard at each angle of the house, it kind of made me feel uneasy to move around. Summoning courage, I changed into a free gown and packed my hair into a bun before leaving the room. I walked slowly along the corridor. Surprisingly, I didn't see any of his men standing guard in the corridors. I observed everything around me and tried to remember all the moments I must have spent in the house. Nothing came to me at first, but as I stopped by the dining room, I stopped in my tracks. Lots of Lorenzo’s men gathered about the long dining table, drinking and chatting with each other in a lively tone. The feast. I remembered the woman I met earlier had told me they were going to have a feast. Although Lorenzo wasn’t in the dining room, Amelia was there and she seemed to be distracted by the other man sh

Lorenzo. After I had shown Honey the room and made sure she was all settled in, I left the room and went into the living room. Matteo was sitting with Amelia as she checked his body for any injuries“Are you sure you aren't hurt?” She adjusted his shirt, looking at a spot on his chest. “Look at this. You have a bruise here. You should get it treated.”Matteo smiled and held Amelia’s hand. “Amy, calm down. This is just a scratch, it will heal in no time."Amelia shook her head and looked closely at the bruises. “How is this just a scratch? It looks like your skin is infected.”Matteo laughed. “Oh, now you are exaggerating."“I am not.”“You are.” Matteo gave a one-sided smile and leaned his face close to her, resting his head on hers. He raised his hand and brushed back some loose curls from her forehead to the back of her ear. “But it is cute to see you worried about me like this. I like it.”Amelia sighed. “You don’t worry about yourself enough, and sometimes that scares me,” she exp
