He stopped the car down the block, catching me by surprise as I had told him which house it was.

"Thank you." I told him, staring up the street at my house,

I dreaded even the thought of going inside, knowing that my father was probably awake by now.

The sun had started rising and I looked over at him, finding him staring back at me emotionlessly.

"Thank You." I said again, trying to pass time and a small smirk formed on his blank face. Though he smirked, his eyes remained cold and nonchalant.

He pulled away from the curb, driving down the street and I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Around the block." Was the only thing he said, leaning back in his seat.

I understood, letting out a small laugh as he gave me a few more minutes to think about how I was going to get into my house undetected.
