Gabriella walked into the study. She then glanced at Xavier's phone and asked offhandedly, "Did Anna call?"

Xavier didn't want her to find out about Amber, fearing any misunderstanding. Thus, he smiled faintly and confirmed that it was Anna. He then approached, relieved her of the fruit platter, and then fed her a small piece. "I'll be traveling to Crimsonir for work."

Gabriella gently bit into the fruit, gazing at Xavier and surmising that he was going to Crimsonir to look for Amber. She chose not to call him out, though. She instead walked toward the couch, sat down, and looked up at Xavier. "When are you leaving? I'll help you pack your luggage."

Though he was reluctant, Xavier replied softly, "I'll be leaving tomorrow morning."

He thought Gabriella would be displeased, but she merely smiled faintly and said, "Got it. How long will you be away, then?"
