It felt surreal.

One minute, Dylan was lying next to Scarlett, praying to hear her voice, hoping she would survive.

And the next minute, it seemed some divine being had answered his prayers.

He slowly looked down, one part of his mind already telling him that it was his imagination, that he just imagined her voice because he wanted to hear it so badly.

But when he saw her blink up at him, a rush of relief flooded him.

He did the only thing he could think of at the moment. He kissed her.
