Chapter 16 - Full of Happiness

The next two weeks of July passed Selene in another meetings with Damon. Alice was hiding them so well that her aunt ignored the fact that she had sensed the presence of a demon in the vicinity from time to time, after all, there had been no attack at all, so she assumed they were probably hanging around looking for opportunities for now. This time was priceless for Selene, full of boundless happiness. Still, she was aware that one day it would come to an end, and at the mere thought of a longer separation from her beloved, she shuddered with some fear. Selene was sure she wouldn't last long in such a state. For now, however, she wanted to enjoy it and take full advantage of the fact that her and Damon could get together relatively calmly.

Her lessons with Rita, Meredith, Isabelle, and Johnathan were getting better and better. Selene felt she would reign over her powers quickly, and if survive until her eighteenth birthday, she would be more than powerful enough to defeat Alist
