Chapter 50: Aunt Ain’t Ant

I SAT alone next to the coffins of my mother, father, sister, and Stephen, keeping watch over them. A day has passed since the ruckus inside the house, and I am now alone in the house guarding their casket.

No one dared to step inside our home except sir Carlo and Don Enrico Custodio with his bodyguards, but I know they will never step here again when they have nothing necessary or important to do.
