56: The Fated Kiss

"Now please say that you agree with it." Mason gave Ria dog eyes. 

"D-don't. Stop doing that." Zaria stopped him, clenching her eyes. He was her best friend but looked highly hideous. She did not want to taint her eyes on her happy day.

"I can agree with the second request, but I beg to differ with the first one." The three young adults turned their heads at the voice and stood up.

Mason shivered.

Memories of his childhood came crashing down on him with Master Anderson's straight poker face. It was the face that used to scare him when he closed his eyes. 

Perhaps, he was a boy, an opposite gender that was why he faced such a thing?

"I agree with uncle here!" Zaria chirped as she made her way to her uncle and now father-in-law. Mason did double-take when he saw such obedience. Even someone who tames animals could roll over in shame.
