"I'm a master at laundry and cooking, whether it's fast food, Japanese cuisine, or a French feast. What would you like to eat first? Marry me, and I guarantee you'll be blessed with delicious meals every day, Mr. Getson. So, will you marry me?""Sure!"After learning from the failure of her first marriage, Nancy only wanted an ordinary man to spend her life with during her second marriage. However, much to her surprise, her new husband, Yaacob, is revealed to be the primary heir to the country's most substantial fortune. When Nancy found out about this, her world turned upside down. Such wealth and privilege! After their marriage, Yaacob looked at the bland bowl of pasta before him and asked, "What happened to the French feast and Japanese cuisine you promised?"Hearing this, the woman in front of him swiftly untied her apron, raised one of her alluring legs, and casually sat on the table, "Would you prefer French cuisine, or me?"Yaacob, reminiscing about the previous night, replied, "You, of course!"

Chapter 1 The Adulteress
In room 8808 of the dimly lit Saunders Hotel, Nancy Lawson found it difficult to breathe. Her delicate hand trembled as she reached out, only to pull back from the burning sensation as she touched the arm of the man on top of her. Gathering her courage, she tried again, her nails gently pressing into his firm skin. The room was shrouded in darkness, and she was desperately searching for something to hold on to for comfort. Finally, in a soft, pleading voice, she said, "Spencer... Spencer, can you be a bit gentler?" At the sound of the name, the figure above her froze for a moment. Yaacob Getson, with his mind clouded by some drug, became a bit gentler but continued on, nonetheless. The next day, Nancy sat up in bed, her eyes drawn to the scattered clothes on the floor. A white dress lay in a tangled mess with a man's black clothes, the zipper ruined. It was clear evidence of the previous night's passion. Nearby, the trash bin and a few items lay scattered on the floor. The mess

Chapter 2 Who, If Not Her Husband?
"What are you talking about? The only people in this room are me and my husband," Nancy said, trying to make sense of the conversation. She felt like they must have gotten the wrong person. However, the two women were undeterred. "You adulterers are caught red-handed. Stop playing dumb! Tell Yaacob to come out and explain himself to Yoana!" They insisted, pushing past Nancy and heading for the bathroom where the sound of water was still audible. Nancy acted quickly, positioning herself in front of the women. "The person you're talking about is not here. My husband is in the shower, and I want you to leave right now! I'll call the police if you don't!" The women laughed mockingly. "You? A call girl calling the police? Yoana, it looks like Yaacob is hiding in there. Why don't we just strip her and take pictures for evidence? Let's see how they can deny their actions then!" With those words, they each grabbed one of Nancy's arms and attempted to remove her clothes. Meanwhile, a

Chapter 3 The Mysterious and Handsome Stranger
The man had just emerged from the shower. His body was draped with nothing but a towel, water still dripping from his jet-black hair, cropped close and neat. Clearly, he had been disturbed before he had the chance to dry himself. However, his expression revealed no hint of disarray. Even in this circumstance, he exuded an aura of overpowering charisma. He was not Spencer. He was not Nancy's husband. Nor was he the old, ugly wild man the media had speculated. Quite the contrary, he was extraordinarily handsome! He was like a polished model from an advertisement, both his physique and appearance so impeccable that it left people breathless. The water droplets on his body ran down his masculine and striking profile, tracing the firm contours of his chest muscles, outlining his lean waist, highlighting his eight-pack abs, and ultimately vanishing into the mysterious area concealed by the towel... Click, click, click! The reporters, struck with awe and surprise, pressed their shut

Chapter 4 Rich in More Ways Than One
Yaacob still had a vivid memory of the previous night's intimacy. It would seem that he had torn a strap of her lingerie. Upon hearing this, Nancy could not help but turn around to correct him, saying, "My size isn't 95! I usually wear a 90." Yaacob glanced at her, not intending to correct his statement, and ended the call. But there was something in his deep, alluring gaze that held great insight. Nancy felt as though she had been seen through. Instead of her words, Yaacob had more trust in the precise measurements of his own hands. Why would a woman want to report a smaller bust size and deliberately wear a size smaller, constraining herself? Was she perhaps fearful that others might discover her excellent figure? The seven-star hotel's service was indeed excellent. In less than ten minutes, they delivered a set of new spring-summer dresses from a famous brand. Of course, that included the lingerie. Nancy saw that all the items, from underwear to coat, were in shades of

Chapter 5 I Love My Husband Deeply
Nancy had seen her share of charmers, those men who gleamed with golden allure yet were so often shallow beneath the surface. In her circle, they were a dime a dozen. These men pursued novelty and thrills, acting not on feelings or connections, but following the lead of their carnal desires. For them, her name was unnecessary. All that mattered was the passionate intimacies in the bedroom. The events of the previous night with Yaacob had shown that he was indeed interested in her, in a very particular way. The thought of his boldness made Nancy's ears burn uncontrollably, and she shifted her gaze uncomfortably to the window. She asserted. "I'm married! Last night was just a mistake, and it won't happen again. I'm not what you think I am. I love my husband!" Her words were met with a soft snort from the man beside her, a sound tinged with mockery as if questioning how a woman who loved her husband could end up in another man's bed. Nancy could not quite explain it herself. Last

Chapter 6 Let's Divorce
After Nancy stepped out of the car, she walked steadily along the road, her mind a whirlpool of thoughts. She had deliberately concealed her correct address from the man who had given her a ride. She circled around the street twice to ensure she wasn't being followed before heading in the direction of the Shaw family residence. Without warning, a gentle rain began to fall. It swept toward her on a refreshing breeze, kissing her skin with cool, moist droplets, making her instinctively hug her arms to herself. However, the chill remained, and the cold found its way into her bosom. Taking out her phone, Nancy sent a text message to Spencer, asking about his flight so she could pick him up from the airport. He responded five minutes later, refusing to provide details about his arrival time. Instead, he mentioned that he would be busy and would head straight to the office, insisting that she did not need to pick him up. Nancy was hardly surprised by his response. She wondered how ot

Chapter 7 A Car Accident
Nancy could hardly comprehend Spencer's last two sentences. Her heart felt as though it had been violently wrenched out by some unseen force. Her ears were still ringing with the recent announcement, the news that clawed at her very soul. Teresa was pregnant! Spencer, having been married to Nancy for six months, had treated her like something to be avoided at all costs. Not only had they not shared a bed, but even the slightest intimate gesture had been rebuffed by him. And now, he had gotten another woman pregnant behind Nancy's back? "Spencer, have you forgotten what you promised me when we got married?" Nancy stared into his eyes. He had clearly promised never to get involved with Teresa again after they were married, as long as Nancy left the Lawson family and quit showbiz. She had even sacrificed all her hard-won achievements over five years to pave the way for Teresa's success. The blood and sweat she poured into her work might not be much, but she had given up her family

Chapter 8 I'm Pregnant
"Are you certain he's still staying here?" Nancy inquired, her eyes narrowed as she stood before the counter of the Saunders Hotel. "Oh yes, I've heard that Yaacob is a VIP at the Saunders Hotel. Room 8808, you know how hard it is to book. I can't quite figure out this man's background, but I'd bet he's on par with your sleazebag of an ex-husband." "I see. We'll talk again later." "Wait, Ms. Lawson. About the fee for this information..." "You don't get any money for this. I'll pay you if I succeed today!" Nancy snapped and hung up. As she lowered her head to place her phone back in her purse, a few strands of her lustrous chestnut curls cascaded down her fair shoulders, revealing a circular scar above her shoulder blade—a memento of a car accident. She straightened up and pulled out her makeup mirror to touch up her appearance. After tucking her hair behind her ear to hide the scar, she strode across the hotel's lounge area. The click of her eight-centimeter heels attracted

Chapter 9 Are You Really Pregnant?
"Of course it's yours!" Nancy insisted, her voice cracking with a mixture of desperation and frustration. Her throat tightened as she looked at Yaacob's unbelieving expression, and she continued, her voice almost a whisper, "You should know that. That night with you... it was my first time, and it's only been you." A trace of a smile, barely there, could be seen appearing on Yaacob's face, but he didn't respond to her words. With a casual flick of his slender fingers, he pulled a cigarette from the box and lit it in front of Nancy, asking, "You don't mind if I smoke, do you?" He didn't wait for an answer before the flame caught the end of the cigarette. Nancy was rendered speechless. She watched him inhale deeply, then exhale a ring of smoke that seemed both suave and provocative. The air around her was gradually infiltrated by the crisp aroma of the cigarette. It was not unpleasant, but it was oppressive, leaving her feeling smothered and ignored. "Mr. Getson, are you even lis

Chapter 10 The Cost of Abortion
"The pregnancy test results are in your hands, Mr. Getson. It's not as if I could have faked them," Nancy stated, holding her ground. "Who knows?" The man's casual response caused Nancy's eyes to twitch involuntarily. In the next moment, however, she deftly brushed a strand of hair from her forehead, masking her fleeting moment of uncertainty, and met Yaacob's intense gaze with righteous indignation. "Mr. Getson, you're a man of distinction. You can afford globally limited luxury cars and own several publicly traded companies. Surely you wouldn't stoop so low as to make a scene just to escape this small compensation, right? I recall you have a fiancée. She caused quite a commotion here one morning. Your relationship seems rather unstable, doesn't it?" Yaacob's gaze, hidden behind a cloud of smoke, turned darker at Nancy's words. He looked at the woman before him with the same oppressive glare he'd given her earlier in the car. For a split second, Nancy felt as if an invisible han
