Chapter 17

Melissa slowly opened her eyes and looked around and she noticed she was in a different room. She was in an empty room and lying on the cold floor.

She tried to sit upright bit then she noticed her hands and legs were tied up and they was a gag over her mouth. She furrowed her brows and tried to recall what had happened.

From the time she left Celine's apartment, to when she boarded a taxi and when Mike suddenly made her pass out.

Wait, Mike?.. Edward's half brother. Why is she tied up? Melissa thought as she found everything, confusing.

She finally struggled to get up and leaned back, against the wall. She tried to free herself from the ropes but couldn't as it will only hurt her if she struggled more.

The door pushed open and when she looked, it was Mike. They wasn't any readable expression on his face as he walked in.

"I didn't know you're awake, Sister-in-law.." He said and leaned back against the wall then tucked his hands into his pockets.
