Jason looked at Emily, who was tidying up their bed—after he had cleaned up and was ready to rest.

Today was quite tiring for herself and Jason, especially when she had to face Jason's jealousy, which Emily somehow had to explain. The man looked sweet when he was overprotective but, at the same time, terrible.

Emily lay with her back to Jason. She wasn't angry, just afraid of Jason's reaction to the decision from Charles that was ultimately delivered to them at the dinner table.
