It was a long time before Anthony was finally released. He stared at Skylar, who stood tall and imposing before him. He frowned as he realized Skylar was the one who'd taken Simone away.

His voice was hoarse as he asked, "Why have you let me go? Aren't you afraid Simone will find out you're this brutal, vicious person?"

Skylar merely laughed like he'd just heard a ridiculous joke, but his eyes were icy as he looked at Anthony. "You think I did all of this behind Simone's back? What if I told you she knows everything?"

Anthony paled and instinctively denied it. "That's impossible. She would never let you treat me like this."

Skylar's expression turned cold, and he sneered. "Impossible? How is it impossible? Did you forget what you did to her? The fact that she hasn't asked me to end your life yet is already merciful!"

He didn't want to waste his breath on Anthony anymore, so he turned to leave.
