I made my way down to the lobby and out to the lot where Katie was waiting for me. As I walked up to the truck, she glared at me and crossed her arms over her chest. I sighed and opened the door to climb in. “Hi Katie, no Katie, don’t yell at me, Katie. I get it. Ok. I messed up. Yes, we will talk about it, but let’s get food first.” I piped up before she even got a chance to say anything. Holding up my hand to silence her, she glared daggers at me, while I put my seatbelt on. She shifted the truck into gear, and we pulled out of the lot, and headed off base. I had no clue where we were going, but I didn’t care. I knew she was boiling on the inside, and I knew I was going to get yelled at all over again.
