Ch10: Too late to realize what you've done
The silence in the car was deafening, all Cherry wanted to was to leave, but she also had crazy ideas she wanted to display. The air was so thick with anger, and flames which could burn the car and neither of them was ready to speak about it. Cherry observed the strange action Rex displayed, after their near battle about Cherry’s dress code, Rex has been somewhat distant and repulsive. After ten minutes of silence, the car was parked in front of the G stark building.
“You go in I will be there in a minute.” Rex spoke, not taking a glance her way, his attention was on the tablet on his lap. Without hesitation, Cherry exit the car without saying thank you or giving him a comeback, she walked into the building like a boss with no pride or sense of what she was doing.

Cherry speed walked away from the G stark company fearing Rex would meet up with her. Her breaths came in pants as she walked faster home, not only because of Rex but her safety too. This only path to her apartment building was usually full of scary homeless people or robbers and Cherry did not wish to be robbed or assaulted, today she was poor in cash so she had to walk home and use her saving tomorrow. Rex sat uneasy and nervous in his car memorizing every line he was going to say when he sees Cherry. For each line he stuttered terribly making him reconsider his decision to apologize. “Rex wait up.” Maria called and ran after her friend, before the elevators closed fully, Maria squeezed through quickly and easily but Rex wasn't pleased with it. He wanted to leave the building alone and without questions from anyone or Maria. He knew Maria like the back of his hand, she could be a lot to handle and difficult to avoid when she is determined to get something from anyone. “What happened Rex? There is something I have to sort out that’s all.” He answered and prayed this elevator would just reach the ground floor on time.
