last update Fecha de publicación: 2026-05-14 15:27:59

Yara’s POV

I searched Daniel’s pen holder first. I pulled out every pen, checked the base, and even shook it lightly. Nothing fell out. I moved to the drawer beside it and opened it. Inside were files and documents, arranged neatly and evenly. Everything looked untouched.

My gaze shifted to the safe in the corner. Then I remembered something.

I turned slowly toward the door. The man-sized gilded horse statue stood there, tall and unmoving. Daniel had bought it years ago during an auction. I lau

  • Luna Pretending To Be Blind   Chapter 100 - Seen in the Dark

The Author’s PerspectiveDaniel was not dead.Judy stood there breathing hard. Her face was pale, and her voice shook when she called Daniel’s name again. Daniel wiped the blood from his mouth with the back of his hand. His face was swollen already, and one side of his shirt was dirty from the ground. He looked furious and humiliated. The two men helped him back into the house. Judy followed behind them, still shaken.Inside, one of the men brought the first aid box while the other stood in front of Daniel, waiting for an answer.“Why would someone attack you like that?” he asked. “Do you know him?”Daniel’s face turned dark. “No.”The man frowned. “Then why did he come straight for you?”“I said I don’t know,” Daniel snapped. The room went quiet for a moment.Judy had been standing nearby the whole time. She was still angry from everything that had happened outside. She had nearly been hit, had screamed for help, and had watched Daniel get beaten in front of the house. Now he was b

  • Luna Pretending To Be Blind   Chapter 99 - Not Dead Yet

Yara’s POV“Murder! Daniel is dead!”Judy’s scream tore through the night again and again. For one frozen moment, I could not move. Daniel lay flat on the ground, one arm twisted badly under him, his face turned to the side, blood at the corner of his mouth. He did not move. He did not speak. He did not even seem to breathe.Judy dropped to her knees beside him, her hands shaking so badly that she could hardly touch him. “Daniel! Daniel!” she cried, then threw her head up and screamed again, “Murder! Somebody help! He’s dead!”The street seemed to break open all at once.Doors flew open. Lights came on. Footsteps rushed closer. Voices rose from every direction.Beth’s husband stood there staring at Daniel’s body as if he could not believe what he had done. The anger on his face was gone now. In its place was fear. Raw fear.“I didn’t…” he said, but the words stuck in his throat.Judy pointed at him with a trembling hand. “You killed him!”People began shouting over one another.“Call

  • Luna Pretending To Be Blind   Chapter 98 - On the Ground

Yara’s POVBeth and I went outside the gate, keeping enough distance that we would not be pulled into the mess too early. The night air felt heavy. The street was quiet in that uneasy way that made every sound seem louder than it really was. Judy was standing closer to the house, still worked up from what had happened earlier. Even from where I stood, I could tell she was restless. She kept looking toward the road, waiting for Daniel to return. Beth folded her arms and looked in the same direction. “He’ll come.”“He will,” I said. There was no doubt about that. Judy had called him in tears and anger. A man like Daniel would not ignore that, not when he still needed to keep every part of his ugly little world in place.Beth shifted beside me. “And my husband?”I looked farther down the road.He was there too.He had not left properly after storming off. He had only pulled away and stayed close, burning in his own suspicion, waiting for something to confirm what he already wanted to b

  • Luna Pretending To Be Blind   Chapter 97 - Trouble at the Door

The Author’s PerspectiveBeth arrived at Yara’s house wearing makeup that was much heavier than usual. She looked like a woman trying to be seen, and that was exactly the point. She stood at the gate for a second, adjusted her bag, then walked to the front door and knocked.Inside the house, Yara was already prepared. When she opened the door, Beth gave her a quick look, then stepped in with a tired face, as if she had simply come over to work and wanted to get through the day quietly. But they did not even get a moment to settle.Heavy footsteps came from outside.Beth’s husband appeared only moments later, walking fast and breathing hard like a man who had worked himself into anger before he even arrived. His eyes were already searching the place. The moment he reached the doorway, he barked, “Where is he?”Beth turned sharply, putting on a startled look. “What are you doing here?”“Don’t act innocent,” he snapped. “Where is your lover?”Beth stared at him in open disbelief. “Have

  • Luna Pretending To Be Blind   Chapter 96 - The Truth on Screen

Yara’s POVThe moment Beth sent the video, I opened it.At first, I only saw Daniel and Caroline sitting close together, talking in low voices. The camera angle was not perfect, but it was clear enough. Clear enough for me to see their faces. Clear enough for me to hear their voices. Then I heard the words that made my whole body go cold.My blindness had not been an accident. It had not been bad luck. It had not been some cruel twist of fate.Daniel and Caroline had planned it.For a second, I could not breathe. My hand shook so badly that I nearly dropped the phone. Then the shock broke apart, and anger rushed in so fast it made my chest hurt.I replayed the video again and again. Each time, it became worse.Daniel’s voice was calm in the clip. Caroline’s too. They spoke about what happened to me as if they were discussing a small problem they had already solved. There was no guilt on either of their faces. No shame. No fear. Just ugly calm.My sight, my life and my pain, they had

  • Luna Pretending To Be Blind   Chapter 95 - She Reached Out

Yara’s POVI let my words hang in the air on purpose.“I’m serious,” I said lightly. “Maybe I should ask around about Caroline. If she really has someone supporting her, it won’t be that hard to find out.”That was enough to make Daniel lose the last bit of patience he had left. His voice turned sharp at once. “That’s enough, Yara.”I turned my face toward him as if startled by the sudden change in his tone. “Why are you so angry? I was only talking.”“I said enough,” he repeated. “Stop digging into other people’s private business.”I kept my face calm, but inside, I was already pleased. He was so quick to react that he might as well have admitted everything himself. Then he went even further.“She’s not worth your attention anyway,” Daniel said coldly. “Her conduct at work was never good. She liked getting close to men and causing trouble. That kind of woman has always been a problem.”I almost laughed. So now Caroline had become trash in his mouth too.Of course she had. The moment
