The taste of mud fills my mouth. I’m coughing from aspirating mud, and whatever else is lying on the ground. It’s cold and damp, but my entire body feels like it’s burning up. I’m left back in confusion. Once Trevor has left the room, too, I’m left totally alone again with my thoughts and questions lingering on my mind. Within the following three days, I didn’t really get to see Jax at all. He seemed to have come for visits during the nights when I was sleeping and left before I woke up.
