Wendy's Point Of View.I was seated on the bed in my room, humming a song when the door crept open and Alex walked him. His face wore a frown as he walked further into the room and sat on the bed without a word.He sat down with his gaze cast on the floor without saying a word for some minutes.I sat up, moved closer to him and gently placed a hand on his shoulder.“What is wrong, Alex? Why do you look so down?” I asked in a hushed voice, gently patting his back.He turned to me, our heads less that an inch away from each other. Though I'm not a werewolf blessed with the gift of hearing clearer sounds, I could tell from the look that etched his face that his heart was beating faster than usual. And so was mine I have never been this close to any guy. He quickly moved back a little, I cleared my throat and looked away too until his voice gasped my attention.“Sandro called me,” he said, and my head swiftly turned to him.“Why couldn't he call you after he tried to kill you the last ti
Wendy's Point Of View. “Why are you dressed up? Are you going somewhere?” Alpha Sarah asked with her arms still wrapped around his neck. “Yes, I have to be somewhere with Wendy.” He uttered as he wriggled himself out of his grip. I was done with the meal by now, I stood up, grabbed the plate and took it into the kitchen. I could feel her eyes on me as I walked away. “With her? Can I come along?” Her voice resonated her doubt in me. Alex looked at me, we exchanged glances, and he turned to Alpha Sarah. “I'm afraid not, babe. This is something dangerous and risky, you shouldn't be caught up in it.” He said with his eyes warm and his voice hushed enough to put a baby to sleep. “More reason why I should come with up.” She declared with her Alpha authority, not giving anyone a chance for opinion. “If you want him dead, you can tag alone then, Alpha Sarah.” I addressed her with a little respect as I bowed to her while I spoke. She stared at me for a while, her eyes flitting from Al
Alpha Sarah's Point Of ViewI had just stepped into Alex's kitchen when the door opened, gasping my attention. I made my way to the door and it was Alex and Wendy.“You're back?” I rushed to him and wrapped my hands around him in a hug.“Grr.....” Wendy grunted as she carried someone into the house and dropped her on the couch.I was almost engulfed with Alex that I missed the face of the person. But as I walked closer to the couch, my lips spread in a round shaped, cloaked in surprise. My eyes quickly darted to Alex.“Lilian or Beth?” I asked.“Lilian.” I responded nonchalantly as he took his seat beside Wendy.Yes, Wendy. Ever since that witch came into our lives, he had been manipulating Alex.I won't stand to watch this anymore.“You can't do this, can you, Alex?” I shifted my gaze to Alex after glaring at Wendy to my satisfaction.“Why can't I do this? I thought you wanted me to be happy, to be the Alpha and live a normal life with you?” He questioned in a rash tone, his eyes lac
Alpha Sarah's Point Of View.I headed back to the house in a hurry, almost confused about what had just happened. But I know I have to try to trust any possible means to find out what the moon goddess had planned for me and how I can get Juan off my back.As I stepped into the house, I picked a familiar scent and quickly recognized it to be Isabella's, but before I was about to step into the living room, I heard Mrs. Sophie's voice.“What are you doing here after you betrayed your Pack?” Mrs. Sophie lashed out on Isabella, really furious.“Betray my Pack? Was that what that lunatic, Alex, fed you all with? That I betrayed the Pack? Then to what end? What was supposed to be my gain from that?” She retorted in a yell, her voice piercing through the silence of the night.“Whatever it was you did get, and you think you can just walk back into the Pack? Never, I'll have you sorted before that sly fox that calls herself the Alpha returns." She threatened in a deep and dark glow and I as I p
Sarah's POV. The bus pulled to a halt and its door opened and the passengers stepped out of the bus. My eyes scanned the new environment I found myself in quickly as I stepped out of the bus. The place is a small town with people minding their business and doing their jobs diligently. "This is what I need." I thought. I held on tight to the bag on my left hand and began to walk further into the town. Tried to talk to some people but they treated me like I was a ghost. "What is going on?" I paused to try to understand the situation. "Lost or need something?" I heard a voice ask, teasingly. At first, I didn't think he was talking to me until he patted my shoulder softly. "Excuse me, young lady. Are you looking for something?"His deep voice bellowed, cutting through my thoughts. "Yes. I'm new here and everyone seem to be treating me like I don't exist.""I'm sorry you have to go through that." He chuckled and this infuriated me. He noticed it. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make
Sarah's POV I almost froze at the loud sound of the growl, but I was not ready to die this way; especially not when I'm on my way to freedom. The growl grew louder and closer to us, Alex took a defensive stance and gently shoved me behind his back to protect me. “I can protect myself.” I snapped, stood by his side and also took a defensive stance. “This is someone dangerous, someone you should have never met. Not especially on your first day in this pack.” He said in a whisper while his eyes scanned the areas frantically. “Who is it?” I asked, but before he could give me a reply, the werewolf jumped behind me. Instantly, he shifted to his human form and grabbed me by the neck. “Let me go.” I yelled at him and struggled to free myself, but he was way stronger than me. “Long time no see, friend.” The man let out a menacing howl. “Let her go, Marcus.” Alex gritted his teeth while still maintaining his stance. “Oh! Is that how to greet an old friend?” He whined with a chuckle. “
Sarah's POV. “What symbol?” I grunted amidst the pain of my bones cracking up. “The symbol we had been waiting for.” She smiled satisfyingly. I hate to say, but I must admit that I hate what this woman is doing to me, keeping in the suspense of something when I can't obviously do anything at the moment. The pain continued for several minutes, and my last wish at that point was to make it stop, somehow. Just when I thought it was never going to end, the full moon took its rightful place up in the sky and the pain stopped immediately; it was as if I had never gone through that pain. Though it was surprising why all of this was happening to me, I was grateful that the pain had gone, and I had shifted into my wolf. I had sometimes been taunted by other werewolves in the human world for not being able to shift. I wished that could see me right out and regret every word they had said to me. But that was far from coming true. “You are really the chosen.” The woman beamed with a smile.
Two months later Alex's POV. Sarah had taken over the position of the Alpha of the Pack and as the days went by, we began to bound. And I even planned to have a dinner date with her tonight to make her take her mind off things for now; she seemed to be hiding a lot of things that hurt her. It was 2pm, and I had been watching the clock for so long that I felt tired of waiting and bored as well. I grabbed my phone from the bedside table while seated on the edge of the bed and dialed Sarah's number. She didn't pick up until the fourth attempt. “Hey, Sarah. How are you doing?” I asked sharply, taking a deep breath along the line. “I'm good….” She paused, expecting me to state my reasons for calling. I guess she isn't the type that has much time to ideal around like me. “I was just calling to check up on you, if that's fine by you.” I stuttered in a low tone. “Of course, it's fine by me. So, if you don't have anything else to say, I would love to hang up now.”“Wait!”“Yes?” She sai
