Meeting Devin Asgard

I felt someone or something holding my hands. Slowly, I opened hazy eyes. I tried moving my wrists only to realize that it's movement has been restricted.

My eyes were filled with rage, I mean what the heck?

I trailed my eyes to see what was holding me so tightly, my expression was unfriendly till I met a pair of red murky eyes. I subconsciously tried to withdraw my hands from his, but he seemed reluctant and persistent. Our eyes locked for a few seconds, I felt something tugged at my heart and my breathing became shallow. I felt a magnetic pull towards him. Still, I didn't concern myself with what I felt as all I cared about was if my body irritation would react, due to his strong grip on me.

"Mate…" His breathing became heavy, he leaned towards me, and I leaned away from him

"Whoa. Hello? Hold on a second, who the fuck are you?" My eyes were burning, I was certain he was the creature I met deep in the forest.

'For crying out loud, he literally kidnapped me!'

"Sorry Baby. I forgot to introduce myself…" I didn't allow him to finish his words, as I waved my hands.

"Let go of me first." I stated, clearly pissed. Luckily my gloves were still on my wrists, If not, he would have been electrocuted.

'What in the world is going on. This man is clearly a psycho.' I looked at him warily.

Seeing my stubborn expression, he sighed and lets go of my wrist, a bit hesitant.

"My name is Devin. Alpha of the Lion's Claw Pack." He pursed his lips.

"And so?" I gave him a sassy side eye.

He chuckled, seemingly pleased, and I felt his voice was one of the magnificent male voices I've ever heard.

"You're really stubborn." A smirk graced his lips as he leaned closer towards me and kissed my lips without my permission.

"Fuck, I'm gonna break out in rash." I glared at him and slapped his face the next seconds without thinking.

Oops! That was out of reflex.

His face didn't budge from its former position, I felt my wrists going numb and my bone dislocating.

"Ahhh!!! What the… Is your body made of stone?" I writhed on the bed and bit the covers to hide my pain. 'Gosh, the pain is killing me!'

Devin was extremely flustered, he picked me up bridal style and carried me in his embrace.

I could swear, his handsomeness surpassed my standards for hot men by 15%. Devin is so bulky that I looked like a frail lady in his embrace, but if one stared at my diluted wild blue eyes, they would think otherwise.

The door pushed open and a man with long brown hair walked in. He didn't dare to stare straight into Devin‘s eyes. He seems dead afraid.

Despite the pain I felt, I rolled my eyes at them.

Few minutes later, I figured the brown haired man is called Clinton and he is the healer for Lion's Claw Pack.

After observing my hands and bandaging, he healed it and retreated.

"Are you hungry?" Devin asked in a much gentler voice compared to before.

"Oh, I guess I am. I would have eaten by now if you hadn't kidnapped me, and brought me to a place I didn't know."

"Be good." He patted my hair lovingly. Our height difference was so great that I'm worried that it would be a great disadvantage to me.

I'm currently eighteen, and I look much like a pet in a cage. I'm internally filled with dissatisfaction.

He held my wrist and pulled me forward, my resistance was nothing to him.

While we walked, servants bowed to greet him and not a single reply came out of Devin's lips, and I guess the pack members were already used to it.

Someone walked in front of us and bowed. "Felix, remodel my room, as you can see my mate and I will be making use of it soon."

Felix raised his eyebrows, his lips curving into a smug smile. " Finally found your mate? I thought you were kidding the other day."

Devin glared at Felix like a way a devil would glare at his subordinate. "Alright, I'll get going." He tsked and walked a few paces away from us, before turning his neck and glancing at me one last time. His eyes seem to hold an unanswered query.

I rolled my eyes at him. "Bro… this… I'm telling you, you're really in trouble this time around." Felix grinned.
