I could hear my mother’s voice calling for me as I roamed around the dark tunnel I was in. The tunnel didn’t seem to have an end, and there was no single glimpse of light or life in the tunnel.

The voice came again, but this time, it sounded more like Valerie’s voice than my mother’s.
